Chalet le Laydevant is a superb choice for a relaxing holiday for a group of up to 6 people. This 4* chalet is bright and totally modern, has an open-plan layout on the ground floor with woodburning stove, dining table, kitchen island with breakfast bar, and TV area. There’s a utility zone with washing machine / tumble dryer, Freezer and ample storage space too, leading into the secure garage (ideal for mountain bike storage), and a downstairs WC.Upstairs are 3 bedrooms each with zip-link king beds that can convert easily into twins. Two of the bedrooms overlook the garden and share a balcony, and one has an ensuite shower and handbasin. There’s a separate WC, then a large family bathroom with bath / overhead shower and basin. There’s a super decked area at the rear of the chalet which gets sun most of the day, with an open field beyond, and outdoor furniture to be able to eat al fresco. There’s ample parking and a car port, and wood is provided for the fireplace.
The chalet is situated at “Le Laydevant” which is at the junction of the Cote d’Arbroz and Essert Romand, and the address is 7, Route de la Cote d’Arbroz. The Balad’aulps bus stops literally 30m from the front door (runs 7 times a day in each direction to Morzine and takes 10 minutes) – it’s included on the summer Multipass too! (€2.50 per person per journey in the winter)

Hi! I'm British born but have now been living more of my life in France than in the UK, and this is now my home. I've been running Mountain Highs Self-Catered Chalets and Apartments in Morzine since 1995 and I live in a little village just 5 mins down the valley from Morzine, with my 2 daughters, our border collie Sydney and our cats Tina and Asha.
I enjoy downhill and cross-country skiing in the winter, and trekking, road biking and lake swimming in the summer, and reading and music whenever I get the time ;) I also love to travel and get to know new places...wish there was just more time to get to all the places I haven't been to yet!
Morzine and the Portes du Soleil are a wonderful place to choose for a holiday and I feel I am very lucky to live here all year round. I am very keen for everyone who stays in our properties to have a great holiday and I personally spend a lot of time communicating with each and every Mountain Highs client. Don't hesitate to ask me if you'd like information that you don't see in my listings. I speak French, English and Italian, and can just about communicate in Spanish too, have patience!

You can catch the "Balad'aulps" bus from just across the road in the summer and winter seasons (see above, 7 times per day). It takes about 5 minutes to drive to the closest boulangerie, 7 minutes to drive to the Carrefour supermarket, and 8 minutes to drive to the Pleney or SuperMorzine lift. 15 minutes drive to the Ardent telecabine (winter). 10- 15 minutes' bike ride to the Pleney or SuperMorzine lifts.

In the winter season (13 Dec - 16 April) the cleaning is included in the price:the resot of the year there is an €90 end of stay cleaning charge - this goes directly to the cleaning team.
Once your booking is confirmed by Airbnb, I require that you complete a booking form, which will be sent to you by email within 24 hours of your booking being confirmed (once you have responded to my confirmation message with your email address). French short-term rental legislation requires that registered accommodation providers keep a record of all names of renters with their contact information. Any alterations made to the booking except name changes and additions to the existing booking within 6 weeks of departure shall be deemed to be a cancellation of the existing booking. Cancellations will only be effective when written notice of cancellation, signed by the person signing the booking form, is received by our office by email. We are part of the superb Multipass offer, which means that our guests are able to use some leisure facilities in the whole of the Portes du Soleil for just €2.50 per person per day including the Morzine indoor and outdoor swimming pool complex.
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
Winter ski season (Dec 13 - April 16): bedlinen, towels and end of stay cleaning are included.
The Rest of the year: (April 16 - Dec 13): bedlinen and towels are included. End of stay cleaning is payable locally and costs €90.
DAMAGE DEPOSIT: We take a €300 Damage Deposit on arrival, either in Euros or Sterling cash, or in a UK or Euro cheque. We refund this deposit on your departure as long as we are able to check the chalet properly on your departure. If this is not possible (if you are leaving very early or very late) we will withhold the Damage deposit until we have received the keys back and have been able to check the property, and we will then return it to you by bank transfer. Please note the deposit rises to €500 for Mountain Biking groups.
