Forget your worries in this spacious and serene Kitty Hawk retreat with private pool (May-Oct), hot tub (all yr), hammock, hammock chairs, picnic tables, pool table, outdoor shower, decks facing the ocean, and screened in porch.

Short walk to beach but far enough from main road that you can relax on the decks in peace with ocean breeze. Summer Ln & Eckner Rd. Beach access at end of Eckner.

Feel free to message w questions. 8 minute slow walk to beach with ocean views from deck, but also safely outside of the flood zone in case of a storm/hurricane.

Four bedrooms with comfortable mattresses: 1 king, 2 queens, 1 full. Sleeps up to 8 adults if two people per bed. 3.5 bathrooms in the house and an outdoor shower and half bath for the pool area. Three of the four bedrooms have direct access to a deck.

A private, professionally maintained pool (May - Sep) and hot tub (all year), plus a screened porch on the top deck facing the ocean make for a perfect retreat.

55” 4K Roku Smart TV in main living room. Multiple recliners and sofa with comfy throw blankets for cooler nights. Streaming devices on all 4 bedroom TVs. Fast Wifi. DVD player available.

Getting around

You’ll need a car when visiting OBX. There’s free driveway parking for about 4 cars at the house. If you have an electric vehicle there are superchargers nearby and, on request, I can offer a slow house charger.

House Rules

Please note that if your group includes children you MUST accompany them in and near the private fenced pool at all times. Please also note that all bedrooms except one have sliding doors that open to the deck. This may not be desired for smaller children. I encourage you to contact me with any and all questions to ensure my home is the best fit for your peaceful and fun getaway to the Outer Banks.

Dogs are the only allowed pets. Only two dogs at a time unless an exception is approved in advance. Dogs must be crated if left in the house unsupervised. Not suitable for infants (under 2 years). No smoking. No parties or events. Check-in is 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM (next day)

Payment Policy

Initial 50% payment due upon signing of rental agreement. Remaining balance due 5 days prior to checkin.

Refundable Damage Deposit

Refunded within 48 hours of checkout

Cancellation Policy

Please get travel insurance in case you have issues and need to cancel.

Notes

This home is not child proofed. If you have children in your group, please reach out to me to discuss if it is a good fit. For example, all bedrooms have sliding doors to access the deck except one.

Pet policy: Dogs only. Dog must be in secure kennels/crates if left in the house alone. Hopefully this goes without saying, but no dogs in the pool or hot tub or on the beds. Please remember to add pets to your guest list. This will add the pet fee to your booking. No more than 2 dogs per stay.

This is my primary residence. It contains some personal belongings which I’m trusting you to respect. It should feel like you are visiting a good friend’s fully stocked home, not a typical Airbnb. I rent it out when I am away so others can create special OBX beach memories and so I can keep the property in excellent condition.
