We cannot accommodate cats, due to allergies. We are happy to have you bring your canine companion with you for your stay under the following guidelines:
1) The animal is at least 12 months old, potty-trained and up to date on all flea and tick preventatives.
2) The animal must be accompanied by you at all times while on the premises. If you absolutely can't take Fido with you, he must be properly confined in a crate/kennel.
3) Animals are not permitted on any of the furniture or beds.
4) Our pet fee is $50 per pet, per reservation. We will accept up to two dogs per booking.
5) Pets MUST BE LEASHED at all times entering and leaving the house, and guests are responsible for picking up all waste. The backyard is not fully fenced in, and we have local regulations prohibiting unleashed pets outside. Fido is not permitted to free roam off-leash, even in the backyard and driveway. We appreciate your cooperation.
6) No unregistered pets. A $200 fine will be assessed for each unregistered that enters the property.

The kitchen and bathrooms are all recently renovated in 2022 and fully stocked with all the modern conveniences you need at your home away from home!The Blue Bungalow is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with a split floor plan. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom on one side of the common area and a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom on the other side of the house, which provides the perfect level of privacy when traveling with those in-laws!
Sleeping accommodations include one king bed and three queen beds, all with brand new memory foam mattresses. Each bedroom is equipped with its own remote controlled ceiling fan and USB outlet to make charging smart devises easier. Most of the bedside table lamps are touch lamps with additional USB outlets for added convenience.
The dining room table seats 6 and there is additional dining space for 2 more at the breakfast bar on the kitchen island. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials plus a few added bonuses including a french press, traditional coffee maker, and an air fryer.
Both bathrooms have walk-in showers and dual shower heads.
There is a 55” smart TV and several games available for guest use in the living room for evening or rainy day entertainment. There is also a Roku TV in the master bedroom/in-law suite. Guests are welcome to use either to log-in to your favorite streaming platforms.
Prior approval is required for all pets. Our Pet Policy is described in full in our House Rules. Please be sure to check those out before booking if you plan on traveling with a fury friend!

I have learned so much about the tourism and hospitality business through my travels to over 30 countries and I'm so excited to get my turn to welcome other travelers into my own home here in the heart of Gainesville, Florida! My husband Andrew and I are midwesterners but have fallen in love with the Sunshine State. We love helping our guests discover all that this area has to offer! When we're not busy working or renovating houses, you can usually find us hiking, playing with our two giant puppies, enjoying some tasty food or a drink at one of our local breweries, visiting the beach, or planning our next trip to Central America to practice our Spanish.

Getting around
Our neighborhood is very walkable, and if you enjoy walking it's a pleasant stroll to downtown Gainesville. However, if you're heading to campus or one of the hospitals, driving is definitely recommended.

Guests will receive a personalized access code to the smart lock 24-48 hours before their stay begins. Your code will activate at 3pm on check-in day and will stop working at 11am on check-out day.

Please be aware this home is located in a wooded area of Central Florida, where wildlife is abundant. If you don't want bugs, mosquitos, spiders, snakes, armadillos, lizards, raccoons, palmetto bugs and/or cockroaches in the house, please make sure you do not leave the door or windows open, and place all trash and food waste in the proper, covered receptacles. We do our utmost to prevent pests from entering the property, and ask that you kindly do the same. We do not issue refunds for bugs and/or animals found in or outside of the property.
No smoking or vaping of any kind is permitted anywhere on the property, including the back porch and yard. Any violation of this rule, including e-cigarettes, tobacco, or marijuana use will result in a $250 fine.
If your group leaves cigarette butts in the lawn or driveway, you will be charged a $25 fee for extra cleaning.
Guests are not permitted to host parties or events on our property. Any violation of this rule will result in your booking being canceled. You and your guests will be asked to leave immediately and no refund will be issued.
Out of respect for our neighbors, we ask that you keep the noise levels to minimum between 10pm and 7am. We have a decibel monitoring device in the home to ensure that noise levels don’t become a nuisance.
No covering or disabling exterior security cameras or unplugging the modem or router. Any tampering with the Wi-Fi or security devices will result in a cancellation of your stay without refund.
No unregistered guests without prior host approval.
Our home is designed to sleep no more than eight (8) persons. This is why we ask for you to declare all guests, First Name/ Last Name / Age, at least 24 hours prior to scheduled arrival. Anyone not declared is in violation of our policy and will result in a forfeiture/ cancelation of reservation, at full cost of reservation with NO REFUND. The Host reserves the right to have any or all persons, that violate this house rule, removed or vacated from the property with state/ local law enforcement. A fee of $25 per person that is on the property at the time the violation occurred, will be charged, in accordance with AirB&B policy.
Guests may not receive mail or packages at this address. If you are staying for a longer stay, we recommend getting a P.O. Box.

Payment Policy
Payment is due at the time of booking. We will put a temporary hold on your card for the refundable $500 security deposit, which will be returned to you the week after check-out, assuming no damage to the property.

Security Deposit refunds will be issued within 5 business days from the time of check-out.
Cancellation Policy
Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that.
