You will love our spacious 3b/3b condo that sits on Lake Marion. Beautiful condo with upgrades galore and a view that is almost impossible to beat! The property has a lovely saltwater pool for guests to enjoy and it also sits right on the lake for exceptional views. The property has a gorgeous boardwalk, boat ramp, separate parking for trailers, a pier and designated area for grilling and picnicking. There are several area marinas that rent pontoon boats and other watercraft! Across from the condo is Santee State Park and it is a must see.
Our guests come not just for fun and relaxation...we have golfers and fisherman that love to visit Lake Marion and surrounding areas too. The condo is located approximately one hour from both Charleston and Columbia. So much to do and what a beautiful place to choose for your next vacation!
It would be a mistake not to mention the good eats in and around Santee. While the kitchen is FULLY STOCKED and will not disappoint, you may decide to take the night off from cooking and you will have plenty of wonderful places to choose from! From great food, beautiful views and a list of fun to be had, we know you will love Bare Feet Retreat condo!

The pool is locked at all times and guests will need to use the key for entering and exiting. There are also locked restrooms available for use as well. The property also has a dock, boat ramp, pier, boardwalk, and area for grilling and picnicking.

We want families to stay in our condo and feel right at home. There are games, a few toys, coloring supplies, etc. There is a space saver highchair, portable bed rail, and toddler mattress in the middle guest closet. Feel free to use them. These are added amenities and we hope to always offer them. Sometimes these amenities are damaged or turn up missing but as a rule they are there for use. And we even have games and puzzles for big kids! Cant leave you all out!

There are to be NO PARTIES OR EVENTS of any kind! Breaking this rule will result in having to leave immediately and no refund for unused nights will be given. Many of the units are housed by homeowners who call the condo their home. No loud or boisterous behavior is allowed. Quiet hours established by the condo are 10pm to 8am.

No smoking allowed

Smoking in and around the unit is PROHIBITED. There will be a fee of $250 for anyone who smokes in or near the doors of the condo.

No Parking

Guests are allowed to have TWO VEHICLES during their stay. Any trailers for boats and such are to be left in the designated area found close to the unit.

I'm Laura and the hostess you will be interacting with before, during, and after your stay at BARE FEET RETREAT SANTEE. I am a mama to three boys and there's never a dull moment! Ever! We are big into traveling and adventure. We hope that your stay at our condo will be filled with fun and adventure, as well as some relaxation and the making of good memories too! So, basically we hope your stay is filled with all the things we love so much!
What's with the name of our condo? Well, we wanted to create an atmosphere where work shoes or high heels are just not needed. In fact, if you ask our kids...who needs shoes ever?! All the things we love (like swimming, pontooning, tubing, etc) simply aren't done in shoes anyhow! So, come and enjoy our condo and as always NO SHOES REQUIRED!

Condo is located in Ballard Pointe I which is the very last set of condos on the street. You will note that the road is a dead end as it used to be the old I-95. It is the very last entryway on the left.

These directions are for planning purposes only. You may find that construction projects, traffic, weather, or other events may cause conditions to differ from the map results, and you should plan your route accordingly. You must obey all signs or notices regarding your route.

Policies and Rules

Check In: 3PM - Flexible

Upon final payment, guest will be provided with helpful information which includes the code to get into the property. As a rule we can accommodate an early check-in or later checkout for a small convenience fee WHEN POSSIBLE. Often this is dependent upon the house cleaners schedule and/or how long before the next guest arrives or the previous guest departs.

No pets

Animals of any kind are PROHIBITED without prior approval from host and the pet fee of $50 paid in advance. A $250 fee will be charged for anyone who does not comply with this. If a pet is found in the condo with prior approval and the pet fee paid in advance, the guests will be asked to vacate the condo immediately and no refund will be given for unused nights.

Minimum age limit for renters: 25

A copy of the drivers license of the person making the reservation AND said person being present for the duration of the stay will be required at booking. Anyone under the age of 25 will need PRIOR APPROVAL from host. Anyone under the age of 21 WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RENT CONDO. Person to book condo must be of age and present during the entire duration of the stay.

Maximum occupancy: 8

No more than 8 guests unless prior approval from host. If more than 8 guests is approved there would be an additional fee of $25/night.

House Rules

Check In: 3pm EST or later/Call right away if there seems to be an issue
Check Out: 10am or earlier/Pile all dirty linens in middle guest bath up departure. All dishes should be clean, dried and put away OR place dirty dishes in dishwasher and use dish tab left under sink. Detailed check-out list will be provided.
All trash to be taken in bags to the dumpster at head of complex. No trash left behind.
No boisterous behavior, Quiet hours from 10pm to 8am

NO PETS unless approved by host and pet fee paid in advance.

Payment Policy

A deposit amount of HALF the stay will be taken at time of booking. If seven day or less then the FULL AMOUNT will be taken at time of booking.

Refundable Damage Deposit

Security deposit is held until checkout and property can be inspected for any damages or missing items. This is usually processed within 24-36hrs of checkout.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds will be given if LONGER THAN 30 DAYS prior to travel, minus a $100 administrative fee. Cancellations made LESS THAN 14 DAYS prior to travel will NOT qualify for any refunds. Final payment is taken SEVEN DAYS prior to check in. There will be no refunds of final payment once made. In the event of a CRITICAL family emergency, host will make attempts to replace the booking with another guests and if successful at that time all monies minus the $100 administrative fee will be returned.

Notes

If mandatory evacuation is ordered by a Government Agency, refunds will be pro-rated based on the number of nights left in the tenancy, only those nights affected by the mandatory evacuation are eligible. If a hurricane occurs prior to your arrival, and we are unable to provide you accommodations, refunds will be issued to the reservation holder. For hurricane season and September reservations in particular, trip insurance is strongly recommended.
