Hi I'm Alison and along with my husband Brian, we own and run Woodside and Fell View cottages Hidden
The English Lake District has it all: Sleep villages where time has stood still, miles of footpaths to explore, lakes that stretch for ever and views to die for. This area is a World Heritage site and rightly so.
We have 2 beautiful cottages which we, and our wonderful caretaker Lynne, take a real pride in. We love the area and want you to enjoy it as much as we do, so we provide guides, books, a blog, Facebook page of what on in the area etc. And best of all we are only an email or phone call away, to answer any of your questions.
Our connection began with the Lake District by chance in 1993 and then in 2001 we bought Fell View to be followed 8 years later by Woodside.
It has been our escape from the 21 century!
and we want you to come and enjoy the area for yourselves

Take time out to indulge your sweet tooth!

I have to share with you a fabulous eatery in Kendal, so that the next time you visit Fell view or Woodside you can go.I discovered the 2 Sisters Cafe in Kendal and have since found they have two cafes, so I will have to go and try that one out. I am confident it will be as good as the one in Kendal.
