Our Fiesta of Five Flags events celebrate Pensacola's founding and history as the first European settlement in the United States. As America’s Oldest Settlement, there is so much history to remember and celebrate. There are over 20 events planned, from Treasure Hunts to 5 and 10 K races. Fiesta of Five Flags | What is Fiesta?
The Fiesta of Five Flags organization was formed to celebrate the founding of Pensacola. In 1559, Spanish Conquistador, Don Tristan de Luna, established Pensacola as the first European settlement in the United States. Since that time five different flags have flown over the City: Spanish, French, British, Confederate, and American.
