I would love to be a weatherman, they can be wrong over 50% of the time and never loose their job. Just because a weatherman calls for rain, tropical storm, or Hurricane, doesn't mean it will or will not rain. And who knows if it will rain for one day or everyday of the week. One of my favorite weatherman to follow is James Spann He is a weatherman out of Alabama, and he tells you like it is.

Sign up to receive weather alerts and beach conditions for your area. Diamond on the Emerald Coast in Panama City Beach Florida, has alerts for both weather and beach flags. Always obey the flags on the beach a double red flag means the beach is CLOSED, do NOT go in the water.
Rip Currents, what to look for, and how to stay safe. Rip Currents can happen on a sunny day as well as on a stormy day. Most access points to the beach have signs warning guest about rip currents, flag conditions and leaving no trace behind. Make sure everybody in your party, reads and understands what to do if they find themselves caught in a rip current. It only takes a few minutes to read. Try to swim close to lifeguard stands. Richard Seltzer Park is located right next to the Dunes of Panama, and has life guards on duty, please read seasonal and daily hours.
Hurricane mandatory evacuations. Be prepared if the weather turns. Know where the evacuation routes are located. Be mindful that when winds reach sustained 40 mph some High Profile Bridges will close, so your evacuation route may be rerouted to get you to where you need to go safely. Follow the evacuation route signs to guide you in the right direction.
