Check-Out Instructions for Snowflake Chalet

Check out time is 11 am. We respectfully ask that you honor this time, as it takes the entire 5 hours to prepare for our next guest checking in at 4 pm. Thank you!

We rely on the cooperation of each guest to follow our check-out instructions so that our cleaning team can complete our rigorous cleaning checklist after each stay and provide a sparkling clean cabin to the next guest.

Please follow the procedures below carefully to avoid extra charges being taken out of your deposit.

Bedrooms

• Please strip ALL beds that have been slept in, and put all USED bedding and towels in the laundry room. Please DO NOT remake a bed that was slept in.
• If you have moved pillows or other items from the rooms in which they were when you arrived, we would appreciate if you put everything back in its proper place.
• Please turn off the floor heater in the upstairs bathroom, and the AC or wall heater in the rec room. Thank you!

Beach Towels

• If you have used our beach towels, we ask that you launder, fold and return them to the hall linen closet before leaving.

Kitchen

• Please wash your dishes, pots and pans, and put them away or in the dishwasher. Out of consideration for the next guest, please ensure that pots and pans and dishes are cleaned thoroughly.
• Please remove all your food from the refrigerator. Please feel free to use any recycled product containers to take leftovers home, but please don’t take any of our Tupperware or Rubbermaid containers.
• Please leave the grill, stovetop and oven in the same condition you found them. Please do not use oven cleaner inside the oven – it is self cleaning and oven cleaner will destroy the finish. Thanks!

Trash

• Please bag and deposit all refuse in the trash and recycling cans in the metal bear bin in the driveway. Trash pick up is weekly on Tuesday mornings. Recycling pick up is every other Tuesday morning. If you have more trash than will fit in the bear bin, we kindly request that you take it to the Avery Disposal Site, just ½ mile off Highway 4 in Avery at 4541 Segale Road. There is no charge to use the Avery disposal site, but please be prepared to show them the email verifying your rental of Snowflake Chalet.
• If you find that the recycling can is full already, we have provided a back-up blue can in the garage. This is for recycling ONLY -- please do not leave trash in the garage as it may attract bears. Please take extra trash to the Avery disposal site.

Final Steps

• Check under the beds, in closets and dressers for your clothes, bather chargers, power supply cords, and other personal belongings. Since we do not live in the area, it is difficult for us to mail items left behind.
• Turn off all appliances, the lights, heat-a/c and ceiling fans. Please make sure the radiant floor heater in the upstairs bathroom is turned off.
• Return all objects to their original positions, as much as possible.
• Close and lock all windows and doors.
• Re-lock the door by touching the keypad once. The code will be changed after your departure.
