If you want to get breakfast, arrive early or be prepared to wait - and we find Offshore and Wanda's are always worth the wait.

Our favorites are:

Sand Dollar Restaurant & Lounge

A little more upscale than Offshore, and no toys in the corner, but they have a kids menu and have always been welcoming to our pre-schooler. Has a nice view and would also be great for a date night.

Garibaldi Portside Bistro

Recently moved into a larger location with an even better view. Very good, especially their ribs, but closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Kid friendly.

Wanda's

In Nehalem, a short drive north, they are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week (super rare on the coast). Great food and service. And you can usually buy a delicious pastry from the front counter to enjoy while you wait.

Old Oregon Smokehouse

Voted best fish & chips on the Oregon coast more than once. Mostly outdoor seating or takeaway, but that means you can bring your dog.

Offshore Grill and Coffee House - (moved to Manzanita)

This place has super delicious food and is very kid friendly—our son loves the toy selection in the back corner which includes Mr Potato Heads, trucks, crayons, and books.
