Sitting quietly in the heart of Chianti, this detached house with a shared pool, a common garden, a private equipped lawn and open-air dining sets the perfect for an idyllic vacation with friends or family. The 2-bedroom holiday house easily accommodates up to 5 guests – furry friends included – and manages to bring together the charming combination of a peaceful countryside holiday and a modern self-catering stay.

Outside, just a short walk in the green 130 meters by the house, guests will find the shared pool with sun loungers surrounded by vast green spaces. This is accompanied by a private wrap-around lawn and open-air dining with a BBQ for moments of relaxation, as well as a large shared tennis court for active vacationers.

Inside, the holiday house offers air-conditioning and every essential amenity to facilitate home-like comfort and stay. The living room has a free-flowing open layout with direct access to the outdoors, cushiony sofas to relax indoors and a well-equipped and spacious kitchen diner to indulge in homemade meals together. A dishwasher, microwave, fridge, coffee machine and oven are available for guests’ use.

Extra charges

A tourist tax of 1.50€/Day/Person is to be paid on the spot for up to 7 days. Guests below the age of 14 are exempt from paying the tax.
Gas for heating in winter time or when necessary because of weather must be paid on the spot and based on consumption at 4.50€/mc.
From 2023 electricity will have to be paid for on the spot based on consumption.
A Refundable Security Deposit of €200 must be paid in cash at the time of check-in.

Please note that check-in is from 4-8 pm and check-out time is from 8-10 am. Any other check-in/out time has to be previously agreed upon.

Location

The holiday house is located close to the atmospheric village of Castellina, in the heart of the famous Chianti region known internationally for its wines. For families, the area offers a lot of experiences in nature such as the one at Parco delle Cascie with excellent views and sunsets of the Chianti region; the agritourism experience at a 12-minute drive, as well as, many hiking and biking trails are within a 10-20 minutes drive from the holiday rental.

For history lovers, the area offers several ancient jewels to discover like the medieval Castle of Monteriggioni (12 minutes drive), which is also one of the rare examples of a village fully surrounded by walls; the Rocca di Castellina (15 minutes drive); Greve in Chianti (35 minutes drive); and Parco Sculture del Chianti (35 minutes) and more. Moreover, it has an excellent position to easily reach the historic capital of Tuscany, Florence (50 minutes drive) and the beautiful skyline of Siena (20 minutes drive). For those on a romantic vacation, Chianti offers some of the most amazing wine tours, with the closest one at Fattoria la Castellina located a 10-minute drive away. Florence Airport is approximately a 55-minute drive from this vacation rental in Castellina in Chianti. Please note that the pool is open from the 1st of May 2024 to the 30th of September 2024 A damage deposit of 200EUR has to be paid locally.
