We are Debi and Steve Richter, we love hosting and are constantly looking for ways to impress, improve and help our guests make the most of their time away. I'm a semi retired floral designer/event planner, so I am all about the details! We love to travel and know that we appreciate clean and comfy surroundings with hosts that will give us great recommendations for local activities, so we strive to do the same for our guests.
We pride ourselves on steam cleaning EVERY soft surface between changeovers, aside from the normal cleaning and disinfecting, our reviews show that our guest appreciate our attention to their comfort.

I will personally check our guests in, give them information about The Cottage, and make sure everything is as it should be. On the very rare occasion that I am unable to do so personally, I will provide the guest with the access code, at check in time. We have a binder with all sorts of information for your stay.

No Smoking anywhere INSIDE OR OUTSIDE the property, if you must smoke, please do so on the sidewalk, not on the porch or patio. Owners are highly allergic. We are not a party location, no bachelor/bachelorette parties, etc.

Payment Policy
We accept checks, PayPal (can use a credit card through PayPal) Non refundable deposits are due at time of booking. Balance due 90 days prior to check in.
Refundable Damage Deposit
A Security Deposit is collected, and refunded within 7-10 days of the Checkout Date provided no deductions are made due to:
● Damage to the property or furnishings
● Excessive Energy use (20% over average normal usage)
● Dirt or other mess requiring excessive cleaning, $40/hour if over the 4 hours allotted for changeover
● (Detailed on Check Out Procedures); or
● Any other cost incurred by Homeowner due to Guest’s stay.
● Smoking on the Property or other violations of the Rental Agreement and/or Pet addendum
If the premises appear dirty or damaged upon Check-in, Guest shall inform Homeowner immediately. .

Once a reservation has been accepted and confirmed, a cancellation can only be made in accordance with the terms below:
Prior to 60 Days before check in:
- If the period of rental can be re-booked, a refund for the period re-rented or the part thereof, less a cancellation fee of 25% will be issued.
- If any part of the rental period cannot be re-booked, the Renter will forfeit all monies paid for that period.
Within 60 Days before check in:
- If the period of rental can be re-booked, a refund for the period re-rented or the part thereof, less a cancellation fee of 50 % will be issued.
- If any part of the rental period cannot be re-booked, the Renter will forfeit all monies paid for that period.
COVID-19: We are now offering the opportunity to purchase CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason) insurance for any new bookings. Please consider adding this to safeguard your booking fees, as any bookings made will be subject to our standard cancellation policies.

We have a Booking Agreement that must be signed, along with a copy of your photo ID, cell # and current address. Dogs are only allowed on a case by case basis, and you must sign the Pet Addendum, a Pet Fee of $150 per week and all dogs must be crate trained.
