Tervakko - Sodankylä

Tervakko is a high-quality and well-equipped villa. The location is excellent in its own peace, about 8 km from the Luosto visitor center. You have direct access to the nature trail from the terrace by using a connecting route. In winter, you have access to the snowmobile trail network and freeride skiing sites.

This spacious and airy building allows accommodation also for a larger group. One of the six bedrooms has 120 cm wide bed, and in the upstairs lobby is a single bed in addition to the sofa bed. The other bedrooms have two single beds.

A large and warm porch is every travelers dream, plenty of drying space for many kinds of outdoor equipment. In addition to the washing machine and tumble dryer, there are two drying cabinets in the utility room. The kitchen has two large refrigerators and chest freezer, as well as other necessary kitchen equipment, including coffee makers. The extra equipment is video projector and screen, so Tervakko is also ideal for meetings. Fiber optical Internet connection ensure fast and trouble-free Internet connection.

There are 2 WCs on the ground floor as well as a washroom with 2 showers and sauna. On the upper floor, there are 2 WCs (one with shower), as well. Two drying cabinets for clothes. Tervakko is a part of private tourist center in the area. The company organizes events in the middle of the magnificent landscapes for small groups. Events may include the smoke sauna sessions with dipping to the frozen lake, hiking, ice fishing, snowmobiling for example.

Tervakko is conveniently located in the peace of nature, right at the base of the fell Yli-Luostotunturi. Former ski slopes are located nearby. These will allow you a variety of recreational possibilities in both summer and winter. You can go and hike to the top of the fell in the National park side and admire the wilderness landscapes reaching over several hundred kilometers.

The snowmobile trail runs just around the corner, making the location perfect for snowmobilers. In winter, the area is also excellent for freeriders. According to feedback, the area is one of the best freeride skiing sites in Finland.

In summer, Tervakko is also suitable as an accommodation for cycling enthusiasts. Just three kilometers from Tervako at Torvinen maja, you can join a wide network of cycling routes, both in the Luosto and Pyhän areas. After the trip, it is possible to rinse the bikes thanks to the water station located outside.
