Inside, the holiday chalet is divided into 3 levels, out of which 2 levels are dedicated to the guests. The living room is a cosy, rustic-style family space centred around a wood-burning fireplace and leads, through a flight of wooden stairs, to the upper level. This charming room is further complete with an exposed-beam wooden ceiling, cobblestone walls, comfy sofas and a dining setup for 6. A super homely kitchen with garden access, as well as essential utilities like a Nespresso machine, fridge, raclette, wood-burning stove, and fondue, is also available.

Free Wi-Fi, a laptop-friendly workplace, a flat-screen HDTV and a books library are also at your disposal. The chalet welcomes guests of all ages and your pets!

Please note that the last 800 metres to reach the holiday chalet are unpaved and, in some places, very narrow.
Wood for the fireplace and stone oven is in the small house by the garden.

Location

The holiday chalet is located in Faido, Ticino, an excellent venue for cutting yourself off from city life and enjoying the alps. Just a 10-minute drive from the rental are the beautiful Piugmogna falls to refresh yourself, and continuing further along, at 5 minutes drive from the falls is Dazio Grande, where the Piottino Gorge carved into Monte Piottino offers a one-of-a-kind nature hiking experience. Other than that, there are several nature trails that you can enjoy with your loved ones; the 2-4 hour-long educational trails of Olivone are about a 50-minute’ drive from here. But if it is cross-country skiing and skating you want to enjoy in a snow-sure zone of Ticino, then Compra is also about the same distance. Additionally, in Osco, which is a 20-minute drive from the chalet, you can enjoy alpine horse riding that end in delicious picnics!

The nearest airport is Lugano, approximately a 60-minute drive from this holiday apartment in Faido.
