This bright, contemporary 1 bedroom apartment, set in beautiful gardens with a shared swimming pool, sleeps up to 4 people. The residence is on the outskirts of the town of Stresa, looking out over Lake Maggiore, with direct access to the lakeshore. The main living/dining room with the open plan kitchen is spacious with a cool, terracotta tiled floor and large French windows leading out onto an extensive balcony. The balcony terrace has two sun loungers, a coffee table with two outdoor armchairs, a dining table with seating for 4 people and a large parasol, so you can dine al fresco, enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Back indoors, the living room has a large sofa, with an armchair and a flat-screen tv, plus a music system. Further back the open plan kitchen is fully equipped with a hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and coffee machine. If you do not want to eat outside, there is a dining table and chairs for 4, next to the kitchen.

Bedroom: A charming bedroom with French windows that lead out onto the terrace. The room is furnished with a double bed, a large wardrobe and chairs.
Extra: The stylish sofa in the living room converts into a large double bed.

Bathroom
The bathroom, next to the bedroom, with classic white tiling, is equipped with a bath, shower, basin and WC.

Location

In the beautiful, verdant countryside on the edge of town, this apartment is a quiet retreat within easy reach of the attractions of Stresa and Lake Maggiore. A car is recommended for your stay.

Stresa is a charming resort town right on the lake. It is known for its villas and palazzi. The best known is the Villa Pallavicino (4 mins drive) with its spectacular botanical gardens and zoo.

Spend the day exploring the Borromean Islands with a hop-on-hop-off boat trip between Isola Bella, Isola Madre, home of the stunning Palazzo Borromeo and Isola Superiore/Isola dei Pescatori with its picturesque fishing village.

Back on shore, there are plenty of excellent restaurants and cafes where you can try local cuisine. The Friday morning market is a treasure trove of the best regional produce, including wild berries picked on the mountain slopes nearby. The town has all the amenities you need for your stay.

For something more dynamic, Mottarone Park (31 mins drive) is a wonderful way to spend the day with children and friends. In the winter you can ski or snowboard on 15km of pistes and in the summer months, there are beautiful mountain bike tracks through the forest as well as a woodland adventure playground.

Milan’s international Linate airport is a 1-hour 28-minute drive from the apartment and Milan Malpensa airport is just 50 minutes away. Please note that the pool is open from the 1st of June 2023 to the 12th of September 2023
