Come stay at Joyful-Stays, Beach Retreat, and start making those amazing memories. Our backyard is fully fenced for your enjoyment and that of your four legged family members! The house is situated just a 2 min walk to Indian Rocks Beach, just south of Clearwater, where white sand beaches and calm rolling waves are the norm! Recent addition of a Hot Tub to add to the allure! Cook in our stocked kitchen or walk a few blocks to great restaurants up and down the beach. Kick back and enjoy being on island time! Children and pet friendly.

This is our home away from home, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do! You are literally steps away from the beach, we provide beach chairs and an umbrella as well as a wagon to get everything there! In addition during in-season months there are umbrellas, chairs, and cabanas that can be rented directly on the beach if you desire. The beaches are some of the best in the world, basically an extension of Clearwater but not so many hotels, so less crowded most of the time! Welcome to Paradise!!! Sunsets are spectacular here, so make sure you see it at least once during your stay!

The house itself has 2 king bedrooms, with a queen sleeper sofa each in both the living room and the Florida room, and can sleep 8 comfortably. There are 2 full bathrooms in the house and a 3rd bathroom in the garage for rinsing off sand, where laundry is also located. Our kitchen is fully stocked and recently renovated. There is plenty of off street parking, for 3 vehicles. The backyard is spacious and has a space for outdoor dining for the whole party to relax and enjoy the Florida weather, lounge chairs, and now a hot tub, for cooler nights!

Please note: there are 2-3 steps to get into the home, into the garage, and into the backyard. Please make sure everyone in your party can handle a few steps.

Several blocks away are delicious seafood restaurants, ranging from upscale to the fast but delicious beach grill, and a French bakery for the sweeter side!

If you get bored of the beach (which is hard in our experience!), check out Indian Rocks Beach Nature preserve, the historical museum, charter a boat, or visit Splash Harbor Water Park. Head over to Johns Pass for a day of shopping and great dining. Littles will enjoy the playground a block away from the house. And on the other side of the playground, a bay where dolphin sightings are common!

You will be a short drive away from Clearwater Beach, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and all the sights and sounds Tampa has to offer.

Parking: We have a long driveway that can accommodate at least 3 cars. We do have a garage as well, but it is somewhat a tight fit, and currently being used more for storage.

Indian Rocks Beach is a quaint residential community set on the beautiful white sand beaches just south of Clearwater. While they appreciate the revenue tourists bring in, please keep in mind most of our neighbors are long term residents, and appreciate the peace and quiet!

There are several restaurants in walking distance, and more just a short drive away. Beach Waves Grill, Indian Rocks Cafe, and Cafe de Paris are our favorites for take out! Guppys and the Salt Rock Grill for a more upscale dining adventure (though Guppys has good takeout too!).

We have a wagon, beach chairs, and an umbrella for walking to the beach! Parking can be difficult, so your best bet is a short walk down to the beach!

Parking is somewhat limited on the island, but at most restaurants you can usually find a place!

Suncoast Beach Trolley runs from Clearwater beach through Indian Rocks Beach, and down to St Johns Pass, Pete Beach and Pass-a-Grille. Hop on and off along the way to access awesome beaches, shopping, and food. Cash fare is a couple dollars, or you can purchase unlimited rides for multiple days for less than $20!

Our house is child and pet friendly. We do ask that pets be crated when you are not at home if they are not going with you. There is an additional pet fee which will be added to the reservation.

We have a pack-n-play, high chair, and baby bouncer available for your use, if desired. Please no pillows or extra mattresses in the pack and play for safety, and children should not be left unsupervised in the high chair or bouncer.

Cancellation: 97% (14 days prior to check in) or 47% (7 days prior to check in) of what we receive. VRBO fees are credit card fees are not in our control. Credit card fees are NON refundable per Stripe. please contact VRBO regarding their fees and refunds.

Security Deposit: We do request a security deposit to book, it is simply a hold in the amount of $500 on your credit card. This is to discourage significant damage to the house or property, and/or violation of house rules. This will be released after your stay. Please rest assured no money will be taken without discussion with you and your approval beforehand. Again, this is simply a hold, and in 2 years of doing business we have only had to utilize once.
