Chalet Mamouche - Les Contamines-Montjoie

A stunning, independent chalet, in a beautiful hillside setting, on the edge of Les Contamines-Montjoie, this picture-perfect, alpine property is an ideal base for holiday adventures all year round.

Set over 2 floors, this chalet has everything you could wish for, for the perfect holiday in the mountains. It is beautifully decorated in a contemporary alpine style and sleeps up to 11 people in luxury. A spacious living area has a central fireplace with two separate seating areas on either side. One is a cosy snug, where guests can relax and watch tv. On the other side, there are three more sofas and double French windows leading out onto a private balcony. The dining area is next to this, and also has large glass doors out onto the terrace, where there is a large table for dining al fresco in the summer months. Guests can enjoy the spectacular mountain views either from inside the chalet or outside on the balcony.

The open-plan kitchen leads directly off the dining area and is beautifully appointed with wooden cupboards and a large ceramic sink. It is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, fridge, freezer, toaster and Nespresso machine.

The stylish bedrooms are all lined with wooden panelling. The bathrooms are also very attractive, with modern fittings and loads of character. There is even a private sauna for guests to enjoy.

Sleeping
Bedroom 1: A charming spacious bedroom with a double bed, French windows onto the garden, with a large wooden wardrobe.
Bedroom 2: This room is under the wooden eaves and has a double bed, with bedside tables and reading lights.
Bedroom 3: Another stylish bedroom with a double bed, ample wardrobe storage space and glass doors leading out to the garden.
Bedroom 4: An ideal children’s bedroom with wooden bunk beds.
Bedroom 5: A cosy bedroom on the lower ground floor, with a double bed and chest of drawers.
Bedroom 6: This bedroom has a comfortable double bed and storage.

Bathroom 1: An independent bathroom, with beautiful wooden panelling, a full classic white bath with shower attachment, basin and WC.
Bathroom 2: An Italian-style shower room with stone tiling and fittings. A glass shower, basin and WC.

Location
Located in a central but quiet, sunny spot with stunning mountain views, this chalet is close to the ski slopes and near the ski lift. The slopes are suitable for all levels of skiing. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, visitors can enjoy snow-shoeing, sledging, dog sledging and even horse-drawn sleigh rides.

The village of Les Contamines-Montjoie has managed to keep its traditional charm. More than 70% of the farmhouses have been beautifully restored in the charming local Savoyard style. There is a wide range of restaurants, bars and cafés, to suit all budgets, as well as all the other amenities: supermarkets, banks etc.

The valley is home to France’s highest nature reserve which is the only protected landscape around Mont Blanc. It is home to deer, badgers, foxes and a wide variety of bird life and provides some wonderful hiking trails. Elsewhere, visitors can enjoy mountaineering, rock climbing, mountain biking, lake swimming, tennis and trampoline parks. There is plenty to do for all ages. For something more relaxing, try the natural thermal baths at Les Bains de Mont Blanc, in St Gervais Les Bains (a 25-minute drive).

Geneva airport is a 1 hour 20-minute drive from the chalet. A damage deposit of 1200EUR has to be paid locally for groups under 21.
