Pets - Up to two dogs or cats are welcome if they are clean before coming in, especially in wet and mucky weather! Also please keep them off the furniture and beds. Please do not leave unattended in the house unless they are crated. We don't have insurance for guests to use our garden because of areas of it that are not safe. You are welcome to let them out on the drive, please clean up after them including the area of parking that belongs to our neighbours that isn't fenced off from our drive.

Beautiful 3 Storey Grade 2 Listed Property set in the Colne Valley Area. Wonderful views all around set on the outskirts of Huddersfield just a few miles from the moors.
On the first floor we have 3 double rooms with a double bed in each room and 1 single bed in the smallest room and a very large bathroom with a large bath and walk in shower.
3 more double rooms on the 2nd floor and a bathroom with shower over the bath.
Large open plan lounge/dining room on the ground floor and another seating area on the top floor, both seating areas have a TV and DVD player & XBox on the top floor
Sleeps 13 easily. Could sleep extras e.g. Babies or small children in parents room if needed.
We have one travel cot for guests to use. Please feel free to bring airbeds/Sleeping bags to sleep any extra little people.

I am married to Mark with 2 grown up children. We love the beautiful area of the Colne Valley that we live in in West Yorkshire.

As hosts we are friendly and helpful. We are only next door but will leave our guests in peace but on hand should you need anything.

We love travelling too, especially in our motorhome and so do our cat & dog, they come too.

Life Motto is "Live in the moment"

We live in one side of the house (shown in the picture with the barn doors). The house is self contained and we are usually available next door if guests need anything or would like any information.

Getting around

Local Bus Service runs every 10 - 20 minutes depending on the time of day. There are several different buses that go to the centre of Huddersfield and it only takes 15 minutes on the bus. If we are around we would be happy to offer a taxi service.

We will be in touch with you a week before your arrival and explain the in-person check-in process and all the things we provide here that you won't need to bring with you and can answer any questions you may have and provide any information you need for your stay. House Rules

We are in a separate part of the house, the side for our guests is a self contained house in a residential area, please be courteous to our neighbours and us regarding noise and parking. Please note that we do allow birthday and hen parties but that it is not a party house, you are welcome to play music but not loud and we ask that you keep noise levels to a minimum between Midnight and 7.00am. When you book you will be asked to agree to pay a security deposit of £300 to pay for any damages that may be caused. We don't charge for the odd glass that might get broken, we know that accidents happen but the person that makes the booking must take responsibility for all the other guests staying. We request that you leave the house as you find it. Our cleaning fee per booking is to go towards our general cleaning costs, not for extra cleaning that maybe required, we ask that the house is left as you found it e.g. if carpets need to be cleaned from spillages then we will use a professional cleaning company and the cost will be deducted from your damage deposit. Any towels that are damaged or missing are charged at £25 per bath sheet and £10 per hand towel, bedding is charged at £50. We obviously cannot list the cost of everything that might get damaged but we will message you within 48 hours after checkout if we find any damages to report. It is a NO Smoking property We do provide tea bags, instant coffee & sugar free of charge for your use, We have a capsule coffee machine that is available for guests use with an honesty box to pay for any capsules used or you are welcome to bring/buy your own & lots of other kitchen essentials. Please ensure that the door to the house is securely closed so that the door locks, especially when you go out and checkout. Don't forget your slippers, no outdoor shoes to be worn indoors please.No smokingCheck-in is anytime after 3:00 PM

Payment Policy

Payment is 50% on booking and the remainder 50% 8 weeks before check-in.

Refundable Damage Deposit

We generally manage to clean Millbarn the day after guests leave so at the same time check for obvious damage etc and then can get the deposit back to you by bank transfer within a few days.

Cancellation Policy

Any booking cancelled seven days after paying the deposit will receive no refund, because Millbarn attracts large groups of friends and families it takes time to get diaries organised and so cancellations are hard to replace in short periods of time.

Notes

We have two Baby/Toddler High Chair for guests to use and a toddler chair. Also a Travel Cot to save you bringing your own for baby. All bed linen and towels are provided. Items we provide to make your stay a home from home: Hairdryer and Hair straighteners, Bubble Bath, Hand Soap, Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Hot Chocolate Cupboard full of essential condiments/ingredients Combined Washer/Dryer and washing powder Iron and Ironing Board, Cuddly Toys Brio Train Track and Trains Bookcase full of Adult and Childrens Books Extra TV & Xbox/DVD player on the top floor landing where the extra seating area is if the kids want to escape to their own space.
