Holidays and Events on Jekyll

The only beach-side convention center south of New Jersey on the east coast of the US. Jekyll's convention center opened in 2012 with a modern coastal feel. Big glass windows and high ceilings sitting right next to the shore. Great place to host your wedding. I'd certainly be up for scoring a convention at the beach! Hotel space is sometimes an issue during the bigger gatherings. We've hosted several groups of convention attendees and wedding parties that realize a home is such a great alternative to a hotel.

Our best memories of Jekyll Island are those where we are surrounded by our family. Jekyll Sandpiper visitors who hold there holiday gatherings on the island will create lasting memories that will lead to future generations returning to Jekyll's shores.

This popular char show with its own TV show has held to wildly popular events at the Jekyll Island Convention Center. They are sure to return in 2019!

Here are some of our favorite events that Jekyll Sandpiper Vacation Renters have enjoyed in the past. Including Easter Egg Strolls, Shrimp and Grits and more.

Jekyll Sandpiper Vacation renters who have children are sure to enjoy this annual event. In addition, to hunting for eggs the island provides other family oriented activities such as face painting and a visit with the Easter Bunny.

Held every year during the last weekend in October. Jekyll Sandpiper renters can compete in the golf tournament before enjoying the football game. Event also includes opportunities for socializing at an event breakfast and tailgate party.

Spring time on Jekyll is particularly wonderful for visits to Jekyll. The millionaires built their cottages under the oaks and planted azaleas and Cherokee Rose around them. This is the setting for the Arts Association Festival, which takes place at the Goodyear Cottage in the Historic District. Jekyll Sandpiper renters might also be interested in the live music and food sold at the event.

Treasures Every January and February the Jekyll Island Authority hosts Island Treasures. They hide glass globes in public places all over the island. So my sister and I spent a day searching. What a great way for us and our Jekyll Sandpiper Vacation Renters to explore the island.
