Below are our favourite places to eat while visiting Farmhouse in the hills, Brecon Beacons, Hay-on-Wye.  There are still some hidden gems in the area, and the culinary scene has been improving over the years. When visiting the suggested places please call ahead of time to confirm hours etc.

PUBS / RESTAURANTS:

Three Tuns, Broad Street, Hay on Wye

Decent old pub with decent food.

Italian influence. 

Blue Boar, Castle Street, Hay on Wye

Good pub, for drinks.

Tomatitos 

Very casual bar restaurant doing tapas. Good value and good for families. 

The Roast Ox Inn

Very good Sunday lunch (very good chef in general), but requires booking. Usually closed Monday & Tuesday, but depends on how many guests they have staying.
