Creating an Account
How do I create a Houfy account?
Please follow the steps below to create a Houfy account:
Note: you must be at least 16 years old to create a Houfy account.
- Go to Houfy.com and select sign up for Houfy.
- Enter you name, e-mail and password.
- Click sign up.
- To finish creating your account, you need to confirm your e-mail and phone number.
If you're having a problem signing up for a Houfy account:
To let us know about the problem you're experiencing while creating a Houfy account, you can e-mail us at info@houfy.com.
If you're having a problem logging in:
- If you're having trouble with your password, learn how to reset your password.
Log into your Account
How do I sign out of my account?
You can easily sign out of your Houfy account by following the instructions below:
- Click your profile picture in the top right of Houfy
- Scroll down and sign out

To log into your Houfy account on a computer:
- Go to houfy.com. Click Email: You can log in with any email that's listed on your Houfy account.
- Click Password and enter your password.
- Click Log In.

Editing your account
How do I hide Google Ads from Houfy?
Hiding google ads from Houfy requires you to sign up for our lite plan. Please follow the instructions below to hide these.
To hide google ads:
- Go to edit profile > Settings & Privacy
- Scroll down to "Hide Google ads" and select hide. (This option is only available for Lite or Premium Plan Hosts)
Show email and phone number on my profile
By default, all profiles hide email address and phone number on listings and websites.
To un-hide email address and phone number, follow the below steps:
- Go to Edit profile
- Click on Settings & privacy from the left menu
- Scroll down to the Privacy section
- Change to Show or Hide
How do I change my profile name?
How do I edit my phone number on Houfy?
To edit your phone number please follow these steps:
- Log into Houfy
- Click your profile picture in the top right of Houfy
- Select Privacy & Settings
- Choose edit profile on the left menu
- Verify the added phone number by message or call (Once verified - remove the older number)
Business numbers with an extension: Please use this format: XXX-XXX-XXXX,e (e=the extension)
How do I edit my contact email on my listing?
Note: You can add as many secondary emails as you wish to the listing. But only one contact email will be used at any time.
To add another contact e-mail to your listing: 2 steps:
- Go to Menu,
- Select Settings & Privacy
- Edit profile
- Change e-mail address & Add secondary e-mail & verify.
Expect an email from Houfy asking you to verify your new contact email address. If you do not see it, check your spam folder. If you still do not see it, be sure you are checking the inbox of your secondary email instead of your profile email address. Click the Verify Email button.
Go to your listing and edit the e-mail address:
- Go to menu
- Manage Listings
- Edit > Settings
- Select secondary e-mail at dropdown
How do I change my login email?
- Log in. Click on your profile picture in the upper right corner.
- Click Privacy & Settings
- Select edit profile
- Enter your new email address
Tap the cursor key anywhere outside of the email address box to get the Change Email Address Popup window to appear.
Enter your Houfy password into the Change Email Address Popup window.
Click Yes.
You will be automatically logged out of Houfy, and prompted to sign in using the new email address.
A change of login email notification will be sent to your previous login email address.
Once logged back in, your profile will now show a red X next to email address. Click View your Profile.
Please verify your e-mail.
You will now be taken to the Verification section of your account. Click the blue Verify button.
Expect this email from Houfy asking you to verify your new login email address. If you do not see it, check your spam folder. If you still do not see it, be sure you are checking the inbox of your new login email instead of the previous email address. Click the blue Verify Email button.
After clicking the Verify Email button you will see this picture. Click the Take me to Home button at the bottom of the Thank You message to return to Houfy.
You will now see a green check mark next to your email address.
How do I add or change my profile picture
- Click on Menu > View your profile.
- Click on Edit Profile then click on Profile Photo.
- Then click on Add Profile Photo or Drop Photo.
- Drag the photo to the first position if you have more than one photo.
Change your Password
How do I change or reset my Houfy password?
Change Your Password
To change your password on Houfy if you're already logged in:
- Click on your avatar in the top right of Houfy.
- Select Privacy & Settings, then click Verifications.
- Click Change next to Change password.
- Enter your current password and new password.
- Click Update.
Reset Your Password
To reset your password if you're not logged in to Facebook:
- Go to the Log in page and click on forgot password.
- Type the email associated with your account, then click Continue.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.

How can I make my Houfy password strong?
When you create a new password, keep in mind:
- Your password should be easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess.
- Your Houfy password should be different than the passwords you use to log into other accounts, like your email or bank account.
- Longer passwords are usually more secure.
- Your password should not be your email, phone number or birthday.
Safari: suggest new strong password and save (To view: Safari Menu > Preferences > Unlock > Select Houfy.com)

How do I reset a password for my Google or Facebook connected account?
To convert your Google or Facebook connected account to an account with a normal email and password account please follow these instructions:
- Click on this link: Forgot password
- Enter your email address and click continue. If your email address is registered you will receive an email to reset the password, else you will see an error that the email address is not registered with Houfy. (You might be entering an other e-mail address than the connected Facebook or Google registered e-mail)
- Click on the Reset password link in the email
- Reset your password.

Deleting your account
How do I permanently remove my Houfy account?
To delete your Houfy account please follow the instructions below:
- Log into Houfy
- Click your profile picture in the top right of Houfy
- Select Settings & Privacy
- Select Security & Login menu on the left menu
- Click remove my account.
Be careful: This is permanent!
Push, Email and Text Notifications
How long does it take to get an inquiry message from Houfy?
Houfy sends messages instantly to hosts and to guests.
If you do not receive an email from Houfy, please check your spam/junk folders on the web-based service of your email provider. Spam, junk, and routing rules can mislabel your messages.
To avoid this: Remove Houfy messages from your spam list. Add automated@houfy.com, reservations@houfy.com, and info@houfy.com to your personal email address book.

How do I find my host referral link?
After clicking "sign up" the recipient will be directed to the main sign up page.
- Click top right Menu
- Select Refer & Invite
- Refer Hosts
- Copy URL link and send directly or click Share button.
What Can Someone Do With Points?
Nothing at the moment. Houfy is currently running tests to see what works and what doesn't. There may be future opportunities to use points for things such as having your property featured for a short period of time, etc.

How do I invite family, friends, and guests to Houfy
Houfy is getting noticed! Help Houfy by inviting friends, previous guests and family to join. You can easily do this by following the steps below:
- Log into Houfy
- Click your profile picture in the top right of Houfy
- Select Refer & Invite
- Click on Invite Friends
- Copy link and send directly or use the Share button

Subscriptions
How to change my plan from Lite to Premium?
Please follow the following steps to change your subscription plan from Lite to Premium on Houfy.
- Please click on the Right menu and select HoufyPay
- Click on change my plan
- Change from Lite to Premium or vice versa
- Change the number of listings if necessary
- Confirm to change your plan
How do I cancel my Houfy subscription
Please follow the steps below to cancel or edit your subscription settings
- Please visit your billing page
- Click on Cancel subscription
- Click Cancel again to confirm the cancellation of the subscription
Your subscription will be cancelled on the next billing cycle. You will not be charged on the next billing date
