Our family has been vacationing on Hatteras Island for over 20 years, and we still make the time to travel from all over the country for that OBX vacation week. Over the years we have concluded Avon is the Outer Banks’ best village for our family. When we became empty nesters, the entire family wanted a way to enjoy Avon even more, so we bought this gem of a sound front home.

The 'Kona Breeze' is located in a quiet neighborhood on the sound side of Avon with an easy walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Pamlico Sound is famous for its wide expanses of shallow water. The Canadian Hole and Kite Point are south of Avon and are a focal point of exceptional East Coast windsurfing and kiteboarding. Avon Fishing Pier is great for fishing, and parking for beach access. The beach is an easy walk if don't have 4WD to drive (with permit) onto the beach via access gates both north and sound of Avon. Charter fishing is available right around the corner out of Port Avon. Hatteras Lighthouse is a short drive south. Wright Brothers Memorial and Jockey's Ridge are about 50 miles north. Take the ferry from Hatteras Village (south) to Ocracoke Island, home of the infamous pirate, Blackbeard. Surfers can take advantage of the location central to the Outer Banks hottest surf spots including Hatteras Lighthouse, S-turns and Frisco Pier.

* Final payment due 60 days prior to stay

Refundable Damage Deposit

* Refundable damage deposit will be returned within ten days of check out as long as there is no damage to the house or its contents and nothing is missing from the house.

Cancellation Policy

* Free cancellation up to 60 days prior to stay
* No refunds or credit due to weather conditions, road conditions, or outages due to storms or other circumstances out of owners control
