Luxury mountain chalet walk to Fly-In Lake (we have SUPs) and 4 mins drive to Big Trees State Park or BLS rec center (requires fee): Pool, Tennis/Pickle Ball, Bocce, Shuffleboard, Cornhole, Life Size Chess, Ping Pong, Foosball, Horseshoe, Beach Volley, Basketball, Snack Bar/Restaurant, Lake, Gym. Whole house generator, air conditioning, central heat. Wifi, 3 work spaces, 3 floors, 4 br + bonus. Gourmet kitchen, home theater, pool table, fireplaces, large deck with fire pit & BBQ. Sleds. The home is about 2700 sq.ft. and has three floors for you to use.
Please read the description and review the photos of the spaces to make sure it works for your party.
There are 5 spaces where guests can sleep divided over three floors, each floor with its own toilet and shower, but there are several things you should know:
1. 2 regular bedrooms, 1 bunk room and 1 queen bedroom on ground floor
2. Top floor is the Master but its a large loft open to the living room and the 2nd bedroom on this floor has a door that closes but its only accessible from the Master
3. Downstairs basement (with many windows) has its own shower, bath, toilet, a pool table, movie theater, a separate wine room, etc.. Its a large space where we placed a trundle bed that becomes a 1 King bed + 1 Twin (but its also not a traditional bedroom).
When we use the space ourselves, we consider these 5 bedrooms, but you could also say its just 2 bedrooms + loft + bonus room + basement. Please review the photos to make sure the space works for your party.
Entrance level
Entranceway -- leave your shoes here, and hang up your coats.
Living / family room -- please don’t put your feet on the couches. The gas-burning fireplace is controlled by the remote, but currently not functioning well. If you have trouble just use the switch on the top right of the fireplace to turn on or off.
Kitchen
-- All the appliances and kitchenware are for your use.
-- The ovens aren’t intuitive as they have two controls each. Use the inner controls to set the ovens to “bake”, “broil”, etc. Then use the outer controls to set the temperature.
-- The garbage disposal switch is the small circular knob on the counter immediately to the left of the faucet.
Dining room
Our table has standard seating for six. There are additional chairs scattered throughout the house. There should be 1-2 downstairs, in bedroom 2 and upstairs in the master, in the basement, creating seating for 12. We are looking to add some more chairs.
Bathroom -- the shower sometimes leaks. Mop up any excess water with a towel, and put the towel in the washer in the entrance level hall closet. We are working to fix this.
Bedroom 3 -- has a queen-sized bed. This room also houses all of our extra bedding and towels. Please only use what you need.
Bedroom 4 -- has a bunk bed with a twin mattress on top and a full mattress on the bottom. The bunk bed also has a trundle with a twin mattress which you can pull out so this room sleeps 4 (children).
Upstairs
Bedroom 1 -- queen-sized bed. This is the largest of the bedrooms. Full disclosure: it is open to the stairwell and living/dining area, which gives it a very open/airy feel but could cause noise if there people are congregating in the family room (ask them to move to the basement instead).
Bedroom 2
-- This bedroom is a bonus / hidden room! You enter it through bedroom 3, via a door that looks like a closet door. This room is colder than others, but has a space heater. This room has a very private work station / desk next to a large window. The TV in this room is not yet connected. We are ordering a Roku stick.
Bathroom -- the shower sometimes leaks. Mop up any excess water with a towel, and put the towel in the washer in the entrance level hall closet. We are fixing this hopefully soon.
Downstairs
Kitchenette area
Unlikely you’ll need to use it, except to turn on the water and adjust the hot water heater. There is an exit from the building here that puts you under the deck on the bottom of the hill.
Downstairs bathroom
There is a full bath and shower in the downstairs bathroom.
Basement/entertainment room
There is brand new day bed that pulls out to form a full King with a third person sleeping on a trundle. Since there also is a bathroom downstairs, this makes for a great extra bedroom. There also is a pool table, a pinball machine, a TV and Xbox (not yet connected) and a movie theater controlled by an iPad (works!) -- see below. We stopped advertising the Jurassic Park pinball as its vintage and fickle and thus breaks often. If youre lucky, it works great but dont count on it. The entertainment room also has another gas powered fireplace and a workstation / desk for work/study from home.

The bottom floor is dedicated to the movie theater, pinball machine and pool table. It's very large and has lots of windows and it's own private bathroom with bath, shower, and toilet. Getting around
IMPORTANT: We have a short, steep driveway. It's not a problem to park as long as there's no snow. If there is snow in the forecast, don't park down the driveway. Instead park your car on the top of the driveway or along the road, but completely off the street. Additional cars beyond two can park off the road on Patricia Court cul-de-sac nearby.

Notes
We recently installed a whole house generator which is a big deal as the area experiences frequent power cuts as a preventative measure to avoid wild fires. Note that Comcast Wifi may not work during a power cut due to lack of generators on the Comcast side. A signed rental agreement and houfyProtect ($5/day) which covers property damage and replaces a security deposity are required for rental.
