Two homes, one unforgettable getaway! Whether you're here to cheer on the Red Raiders, reunite with family, celebrate with friends, or simply enjoy a little R&R, The Island is your tropical escape in the heart of Lubbock!

The Island combines The Copacabana and The Bung—two charming, fully equipped homes on one property, sleeping up to 16 guests! Enjoy five bedrooms, three bathrooms, two kitchens, and plenty of room to gather, relax, and make memories together while still having your own space.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

The Island is tucked into one of Lubbock's most convenient neighborhoods! You're just a short walk from Texas Tech, restaurants, and shopping. Covenant and UMC hospitals, downtown, Broadway nightlife, and the Depot District are all nearby. Plus, we're about 10 minutes from the airport and a short drive to Southwest Lubbock.

TWO HOMES, DOUBLE THE ISLAND CHARM! 🌺

The Copacabana – Built in 1937, this spacious four-bedroom, two-bath home blends beautiful original hardwood floors, Saltillo tile, and retro-coastal charm. With tropical touches throughout, The Copa is perfect for gathering the whole crew!

The Bung – Your own cozy one-bedroom, one-bath bungalow with beautiful Saltillo tile, vintage treasures, a charming antique gas stove, and plenty of personality. Perfect for guests who appreciate a little extra privacy while staying close to everyone else!

Together, these two homes offer the best of both worlds—shared fun and separate spaces to unwind.

At The Copacabana:

Good Vibrations 🍍 – Drift off in a cozy queen-size bed surrounded by cheerful pineapples and tropical palm leaves.

Coconutz 🥥 – Stretch out in a luxurious king-size bed with soft bedding, plenty of pillows, and a cozy sitting area.

Toes in the Sand 🏖️ – Unwind in a comfortable king-size bed surrounded by a unique collection of sand from beaches near and far.

Turtle Cove 🐢 – Settle into a cozy queen-size bed with charming sea turtle touches and a relaxing coastal feel.

Each bedroom features comfortable bedding, a Smart TV, closet storage, plenty of hangers, a luggage rack, and a soft, fluffy robe waiting for you!

At The Bung:

Enjoy a luxurious king-size bed with an adjustable base that lets you raise your head for extra comfort, cozy bedding, and plenty of pillows. A comfy twin daybed provides sleeping space for a third guest, while a fold-out cot tucked away in the closet accommodates a fourth.

You'll also find plenty of hangers, a luggage rack, and a soft, fluffy robe waiting for you!

FRESHEN UP & RELAX!

With three bathrooms between the two homes, there's plenty of space for everyone to get ready for the day!

Each bathroom is stocked with plush towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryers, and the essentials to help you feel right at home.

At The Copa: The bright, spacious living room is made for gathering! Sink into one of two comfortable sofas, enjoy your favorite shows on the Smart TV, or simply kick back and relax.

Need extra sleeping space? Both sofas open into queen-size sleepers, accommodating up to four additional guests!

At The Bung: Settle into the soft leather sofa or one of two swivel chairs after a day exploring Lubbock. With Smart TVs in both the living room and bedroom, there's always a cozy spot to catch your favorite shows or the big game.

Both homes offer Smart TV streaming options. Bring your own logins for services like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+.

The main dining table seats six, with an additional dining area accommodating another 4–5 guests.

The Bung's Kitchen: A little retro charm with modern comforts! Enjoy the antique gas stove, vintage refrigerator, and a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need. The dining table seats four, with two additional barstools at the counter.

With two kitchens and multiple dining areas, everyone can enjoy meals together or spread out when they prefer!

Aloha! 🌴 I’m Beverly Davis, and I live in Lubbock, Texas, with my husband, Tony. I’m a proud mom to our daughter, Allison, and a very blessed grandmother to two precious granddaughters! After more than 20 years working at Lubbock’s local ABC and CBS television stations, I retired in 2025 to devote more time to my family and one of my greatest passions—21 Raider Alley! My journey began in 2004 when I recognized the need for affordable, safe, and comfortable housing for Texas Tech students. As a mother, I understood how important it was for parents to know their children had a welcoming place to call home. After purchasing my first rental on 21st Street, I fell in love with the neighborhood and continued adding homes over the years. In 2017, I decided to share that same feeling of home with travelers visiting Lubbock for Texas Tech events, family, work, or a little getaway. That’s when The Copacabana and The Bung became vacation rentals, and The Island was born! In 2021, I expanded my little tropical paradise with The Beachcomber, The Hut, and The Freaky Tiki. I’ve always loved creating welcoming spaces, and my years in television gave me a creative side that I now pour into decorating, renovating, and adding special touches to each property. Today, retirement means more time with my granddaughters, more time bringing new ideas to life at 21 Raider Alley, and more opportunities to welcome wonderful guests! My goal has always been simple: provide a clean, comfortable, memorable place where guests feel right at home. I hope you’ll come stay awhile, make wonderful memories, and enjoy a little Island Time in the heart of Lubbock! 🌴🦩

It's very easy to get around the city from this area. Access to Marsha Sharp Fwy, I-27, Hwy 87, and Loop 289 can all be easily obtained from this neighborhood. Texas Tech campus and the stadium are walking distance. Uber rides to the stadium, Broadway or downtown are generally just $5.
