We have been coming to Skiathos now since 1973, when Villa Maestrali was built and have been watching the island evolve from a sleepy fisher island to a bustling, family friendly resort with lots to offer.
All kinds businesses have opened on the island since then. Among other things, a variety of excellent tavernas and restaurants have appeared on the scene, many of which owe their good quality to the new generation of young, inspired chefs.
Besides our guides on Houfy and our hand-written Villa Guide Book, we collect business cards of our favourite places to eat out on our fridge to promote these local businesses.
To also educate our guests and promote HOUFY, we have added a picture postcard of our Houfy.com listing link, as well as the HOUFY.COM link, to encourage our guests to check out Houfy’s worldwide listings, hoping they will book their next vacation with one of the current worldwide Houfy.com listings, before looking for places on the OTAs (Online Travel Agencies), and paying horrendous service fees on top of the rental fee.
