Did you know that every day the equivalent of 27,000 trees is either flushed down the toilet or ends up in a landfill? This contributes to deforestation, which causes habitat loss, soil erosion, and other environmental problems. You can help by going treeless. Bamboo is fast-growing and uses much less water than trees, and cuts down on the damage to our boreal forests. Even better, try reusable cloth versions of paper products such as paper towels and dusters.

Reel toilet paper is 100% bamboo, ink-free, BPA-free and uses no plastic packaging. It is septic safe. The company says for each roll of toilet paper purchased they donate a biodegradable toilet to people in need around the world. I just ordered my first delivery, so I'll update with a review once I've tried it out.

Unpaper towels. Why use single-use paper towels that just clog up the landfill? Etsy often has numerous offers for these. I found some with snaps that are washable and go right onto the paper towel roller.

Reusable dusters. Swiffer dusters and dust mops create so much waste. Try these washable and reusable duster covers. They do just as good a job.
