We are a young family of mountain lovers living and working in Zurich but with our hearts in Zermatt. Originally from the UK, we have spent many years working abroad in Europe and Asia Pacific until we finally settled in the beautiful Switzerland. For us, no other country compares in terms of natural beauty, and Zermatt is the pinnacle.

This home is fabulous!! Pictures and words do not to it justice. It is beautifully decorated and well stocked. We are a family of four adults and the kids each had their own room and having two bathrooms was a bonus. It is on a very private lot with the most exceptional views, from every room, of the Matterhorn and surrounding area. We enjoyed the use of the fireplace. Coming back to the hot tub after a long day of hiking was worth every penny. It is quite a walk from town, uphill, but we chose to use taxis (about 36 francs without luggage and 44 francs with luggage). This was the perfect place to end our vacation in Switzerland. If we ever make it back, and I hope we do, we will being staying here again!!

We had the best time at Chalet Bergheim. It was in a fabulous location with incredible views of the Matterhorn. Amazing at sunrise! The home was gorgeous, comfortable and spacious. The hot tub was amazing after a long hike. The kitchen and laundry were both great. We would definitely recommend Will’s place. Will was great at communicating and we appreciate him sharing his home with us. Thank you! ☺️

Beste Unterkunft ever!

Umwerfendes Haus, perfekte Mischung zwischen alt und neu. Wundervolle Umgebung - "im Grünen" - und dennoch nahe beim Dorf (mit Taxi in 12 Minuten erreichbar, CHF 50). Wir wollten nicht mehr weg. ;)

Great location, outside of the hustle and bustle of the village. Beautiful surroundings. Easily reachable by foot or taxi but be prepared to walk uphill. Zermatt is steep ;)

Loved everything about it

Family of 5 travelling from the USA. Everything about Chalet Bergheim was perfect. The host is very responsive and accommodating. The Chalet is in excellent condition and in a beautiful location with excellent views. It has a very tasteful blend of modern amenities with the charm of a traditional Swiss Chalet. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, and we loved the escape from the business of Zermatt which is just a short hike away. I cannot wait to visit again and again.

Will’s place was absolutely amazing! We loved everything about it and it was better than the pictures. We actually chose to stay in Zermatt for our Swiss trip so we could stay at this place! So glad we did! The decor and finishings were very high end and luxurious. Will has thought of everything from the hi end coffee maker that was better than most of the cafés to tons of games that we enjoyed playing every night. The instructions were very clear and the views out every window were spectacular! I would advise taking a taxi to the chalet if you have luggage the first day at least. It is quite a hike with lots of steep stairs. We actually enjoyed the walk to and from but can see how it could be difficult for some. If you want to walk it with luggage I recommend mapping it by car so you don’t have to go up the stairs. We did that on the way down and it was so much easier. It was totally worth it because the chalet and views were so much better than we could have ever imaged. Book it now!
