Sam and Omie’s - a favorite for locals and travelers
Located right in the middle of Whalebone Junction and directly across the road from Jeanette’s Pier is Sam and Omie’s.
We have been coming to the outer banks for many years and never tried Sam and Omie’s until we bought our own beach house. Now I have no idea why we didn’t try them. Their food is GREAT!
Admittedly we have not tried them for lunch or dinner but we have heard good things about it. Look back here for an update. Their breakfast is fresh and as close to homemade as you can get. AND Who doesn’t love breakfast?
Recommendations: If you love biscuits with sausage gravy, you must try it. It is delicious. We also love the pancakes and french toast.
Prices: Very reasonable
Sam and Omie’s is small so there is usually a wait to get in, especially at breakfast time. Believe me it is well worth the wait.

102 E Dove Street (New location) Nags Head, NC Blue Moon Beach Grill This extremely popular outer banks restaurant is a favorite of the locals and travelers. They used to be located in a stip-mall shopping center and became quickly inundated with customers. After some expansion in that location they moved to their current location at 102 E Dove Street.
