Harbour Town Lighthouse

Harbour Town Lighthouse

The Harbour Town Lighthouse is a must-visit on your trip to Hilton Head Island. You can climb the steps of this iconic candy cane-striped structure while learning about the rich history of the island. At the top of the lighthouse, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the Lowcountry. At the base of the lighthouse is a beautiful marina, a variety of shops and restaurants, and the best playground on the island.

Harbour Town Playground

Harbour Town Playground

Every year, when my children were little, we came to the Harbour Town Playground for some of our fondest memories. We got many of our favorite summer photos here! The playground is heavily shaded and has climbing trees and a treehouse for the kids to enjoy. Harbour Town is in the Sea Pines Resort, which does charge a $9 per vehicle fee, but it is well worth it to explore not only the playground, but also the whole Harbour Town area.

Pirate's Island Golf Adventure

Pirate's Island Golf Adventure

Another popular mini-golf destination on Hilton Head Island is Pirate's Island Golf Adventure. Families will have fun exploring the two beautifully landscaped courses as they stroll across bridges, over streams, and past waterfalls to discover pirate treasures.

Adventure Cove Mini Golf & Arcade

Adventure Cove Mini Golf & Arcade

This family-friendly destination is just a short walk from Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort. Adventure Cove has two 18-hole mini-golf courses and a fun arcade. They are open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days a week.

The Sandbox Interactive Ch Museum

The Sandbox Interactive Ch Museum

A great rainy day activity on Hilton Head Island for keeping the younger kids entertained. The Sandbox Interactive Children’s Museum has eleven hands-on, interactive displays that are suitable for children aged 8 or younger. The Sandbox isn’t a ‘museum’ per se.  Rather, it’s an activity house with some great rooms that have varied activities for children to do.

Grandad's Apples N' Such

Grandad's Apples N' Such

Grandad's Apples N' Such is 19 miles from A Touch of Luxury Cabin. The orchard is open from July/August to early November.  You can pick your own apples, or buy ones that have been pre-picked.  On weekends during the fall, they have several kid activities, in addition to their five acre corn maze.
