I have my doubts about this "solution"
Could the Playa Islands Project save Playa Del Carmen from seaweed?
Over the past 5 years the Riviera Maya and other parts of the Caribbean area have been hit with floating mats of sargassum (commonly called seaweed). This has accumulated on the beaches and caused unsuitable conditions for swimming not to mention the smell of it rotting.
