Everything you need to know about garbage and recycling during your stay
Overview
- There are two receptacles in the kitchen - one each for garbage and recycling.
- Exterior receptacles are located on the side of the house nearest the shed (through the gate).
Recycling
- Mandatory recycling is single-stream and easy to comply with.
- Remove the caps and lids from bottles, and jars.
- Rinse and place them in the recycling container.
- Paper and cardboard should be dry. Keeping a lid on your curbside container will help.
- All RECYCLING must be rinsed and NOT bagged.
- More information about what CAN and CANNOT be recycled is below (and posted in the kitchen).
Garbage
- All TRASH must be bagged and tied securely.
Collection Day
- Lower Township, NJ provides weekly pickup of trash and recycling. Collection day is Wednesday or Thursday.
- We have a tote pickup service that will visit the property weekly and place the totes at the curb for you.
- Please be considerate in following the above-outlined guidelines. Placing loose garbage in totes, or dirty recycling in the recycling tote, that requires additional cleaning of the totes may result in an additional minimum charge of $50.
