St. George Island Breathtaking Beaches
Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and we’re counting down the days! It’s that special time of year when we gather with family and friends, feast on delicious dishes until we collapse into a food coma and then settle down to watch football. But most importantly, it’s the perfect opportunity to count our blessings and give thanks.
Here on Florida’s Forgotten Coast, we have so much to be thankful for, we sometimes lose count.
We locals often take it for granted, but Franklin County is home to some of the most pristine, beautiful beaches in the Sunshine State. With more than 250 miles of immaculate coastline, our area boasts the least crowded sugar sand beaches in the Florida panhandle. No high rises or mobs of tourists here. Just quiet coastline, wide open spaces and sparkling green Gulf waters. From St. George Island to Carrabelle to Alligator Point, you’ll discover unspoiled beaches where you can enjoy shelling, fishing, wildlife watching, swimming, paddling or just relaxing in the sun.
