28th Annual Carrabelle Riverfront Festival
Friday, April 27 from 4 - 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m
The Carrabelle Riverfront Festival is a two day festival to be held Friday, April 27 from 4 - 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m along the picturesque Carrabelle Harbor. This fabulous street festival features unusual and colorful arts & craft vendors, a Pet Parade, educational folk life and maritime exhibits and activities, fun children’s activities, a vintage car show, local seafood vendors and traditional fair foods, Tate’s Hell and Back 5K Run/ Walk, festive knee-slapping, boot-stomping music and amazing live entertainment like the famous Fishy Fashion Show. Admission both days is FREE and open to the public.
A major feature of the festival is the celebration of Carrabelle’s cultural, historic and natural resources presented by the Carrabelle History Museum and held on Avenue B. The street will be full with hands-on activities, interactive opportunities, educational exhibitors, local and state resource experts, folk craft demonstrations, and the wonderful hands-on Sea Mobile with critters galore. All these great family and child friendly activities, focused on the nature, culture and history of our wonderful Forgotten Coast, can be found at Avenue B.
The Carrabelle Riverfront Festival’s very own crazy Fishy Fashion Show will be making a splash as always. Runway models show off astonishing, nautical-themed outfits made from found and recycled materials like sea nets, old beach umbrellas, oyster sacks, sails, sponges, and washed up debris.
The Carrabelle Riverfront Festival happens each year because of a wonderful partnership with Carrabelle Cares, the City of Carrabelle, Carrabelle History Museum, Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce, and in conjunction with local businesses, sponsors, state and national park and agency partners, non-profits, and community collaborators who make the Carrabelle Riverfront Festival the amazing event it is.
