Front Door Lock

Use your 4-digit code to enter the front door. A thumbscrew on the inside of the lock controls the auto-lock feature. Please verify it is left in the horizontal or LOCKED position.

Vertical Blinds

WARNING: The consumer Products Safety Commission has reported that from 2012 to 2017, there have been 50 fatalities that were related to window cord strangulation among infants and young children. Please be careful with the living room blind controls. If not familiar, please follow the following written by the mfr:

“Cord & Chain Control. To rotate the louvers, gently pull the nickel-plated metal bead chain. To traverse the louvers, gently pull on the nylon cord. For proper traversing of the louvers, it is critical that the louvers be rotated to the open position prior to pulling on the cord to draw the louvers across the window opening.”

You will need to push the cord stop brake at the bottom to allow the chain or cord to move:

Keurig Instructions

Selection of beverages are provided. The best coffee is from the re-useable stainless steel k-cups (please don’t throw away). Please follow the following:

1. Push power button.2. Lift top lid and add water (select cup, fill with filtered water, pour in top).3. Place cup to receive beverage.4. Lift silver handle (you will hear water fill brewer).5. Select & add K-cup.6. Close silver handle and the brew button will be outlined in blue.7. Push the brew button and if it turns red, your beverage is heating.

Heat Controls

1. The Living room & Family room have (2) wall mounted thermostats for electric heat.2. The bedrooms have electric heat with unit mounted thermostats. Operate the knob to control temperature.3. The Master bedroom has a heat pump that will both heat and cool. I have preset it for the season, and my advice is to ONLY use the on/off button and the warmer/cooler buttons to control temperature to your desires. However, if you need more see the three pages of instructions in the Appendix of the printed manual in the living room.4. The small bedroom also has a floor mounted unit that will both heat and cool. It has well marked controls, so use if desired. It will help to keep the main house comfortable. Operating instructions are in the Appendix.

Fireplace Instructions

If you build a fire, please turn on the heat-a-lator fans. Switch is to the right of the fireplace.

Hall Bath Toilet

This toilet is a “Dual Flush” model to conserve water.

Misc Instructions

Television

  1. Find the TCL – Rocu TV remote.
  2. Press the remote power button and if you don’t see the following, press the “Home” button for a menu.


Misc Instructions
  1. To watch over the air TV select “LIVE TV”. Local Station = 3
  2. Note that VOLUME and MUTE buttons are on the right side of the remote.
  3. HINT: Select the left purple arrow when in LIVE TV for a directory of stations & shows.
  4. Netflix, Prime video, MLB Baseball may work for you on our account. Please Select the user “Roads End Guest”.
