If you're looking for a generously portioned, tasty breakfast with great service, you'll want to head to Sunflower Cafe located on the mainland of Fort Myers Beach near Walmart. Knowing that we are going to overindulge, we often choose to ride our bikes. Climbing the Matanzas Pass bridge helps us work off the calories on an otherwise flat 20 minute ride from our Beach Delight vacation rental. But you can always choose to drive the short 4 miles too.
Comfortable Atmosphere
The staff is very quick to seat you and ensure you have the cup of coffee you've been craving. The hanging plants and clean decor feel fresh complimented by Florida's sunshine filtering through the many windows. The restaurant offers comfortable booth and table seating. You can even arrange to meet a larger group of friends. Sunflower Cafe has the space.
Lots of Breakfast Choices
The breakfast menu encompasses several pages. You may walk in already thinking you know what you want, but be prepared to change your mind. I know that's what happened to me! Page 1 of the menu, first item: Eggs Benedict! I hadn't had Eggs Benedict in years. I ordered the hash browns to go with it. This breakfast exceeded my expectations!
Lunch Choices
Andy and I went with a friend for breakfast with every intention of going all out. I didn't feel a need for lunch after our very satisfying breakfast. I grabbed a photo of the specials board to give you a feel for the variety of lunch options.
