The free open-air tram is in service again for peak season in Fort Myers Beach. We're in year 3 of service and there are new changes to the schedule (2020) as compared to the previous years. The service runs from January 5, 2020 through May 1, 2020 and operates between 8am and 11:30pm daily. If traffic allowed, it would pass a stop every 15 minutes.

Generally during peak season, you will find it faster to walk north to Times Square, the pedestrian-friendly shopping, dining and entertainment hub of Fort Myers Beach. Times Square is under a mile away from our Beach Delight seaside vacation rental. Strolling the beach is a fun way to get there.

But after spending a few hours in the area, you might welcome the airy ride back to our Beach Delight couple's retreat. Traffic moves more freely heading southward so you'll make noticeable advances.

Multiple trams operate from Bowditch Park at the north end of Estero Island and end their loop just on the other side of the Fort Myers Beach Library to the south. In the later evening or earlier in the day, hop on the tram and take the whole loop just for the fun of it!
