There is a history here. A lovely home was on this site when I bought the house. I fell in love with the location just north of the Boardwalk and just south of the wilderness of Gordon's Pond, the Cape Henlopen and the Historic Towers. Wide uninhabited stretches of beach, a wildlife preserve and miles of natural waterways sold me on this special place. By September my family finally stayed at our own house at the beach! Shortly after we explored the house; my son became sick. We found out later he was allergic to the house. It took just a few weeks to decide what to do. I met with several contractors who just told me to demolish the house. I had no part of that and contacted a HOUSE MOVING company. In the end the house was donated to create Delaware's first Habitat for Humanity chapter and the house was to became a home for someone else and we broke 'Sand' for a new house in December, I named her The Sea Glass and by the next May we welcomed our first guests to our new home. Just in time for the Summer!!
