Roy grew up in New York and spent his summers in the Catskill Mountains with his family gaining an incredible appreciation of the outdoors. Axel grew up in Panama with an appreciation of the environment. When we met we both fell in love with the outdoors of the Catskills. We live in Queens, NY and purchased a second home in Narrowsburg, which has become our "zen", when we are not traveling through the world. We hope you enjoy your stay in our newly renovated Callicoon Hacienda as much as we enjoy being in the area.

“Another excellent stay at the A&R Hacienda!”
This is the second time we've stayed in this home and we've already booked it again for next year.
The location is perfect - up a small hill from the town of Callicoon, which has great restaurants, shops, and a movie theater.
The home is very comfortable and well-stocked. We've stayed in a lot of rentals and this is one of the nicest.

lovely house on a small peaceful street within a few minutes' walk of callicoon's wonderful downtown. the large fenced backyard is ideal for pets and the firepit is truly fantastic. you can tell that the owners care very much for this home, and that they care about their guests' comfort. would absolutely stay again!

Roy was such a lovely host. His home is like a cute little cottage in the mountains with walking distance to downtown Calicoon. If you are looking for a really cozy home with lots of homey décor this is your place! The bay window with pillows was my favorite place to relax. Large beautiful backyard and amenities. I don't think the photos do this place justice, it would be hard to capture the coziness! You can tell there is a lot of love in this home and they treat you like it as well. :)

This is now my third time staying at Alex + Roy's home and it continues to be a favorite place for my family and I to vacation. The accommodations and ammenties are stellar as well as the communication with the hosts. I would 100% recommend booking their home if you are looking for a place in the center of town full of excitement; shopping, eating, water sports and more! We all look forward to staying next summer!

We stayed here for a wedding at Seminary Hill and had a wonderful time. The place was exactly as described, cozy, surrounded by nature, and easy to access all of the wedding festivities. I would highly recommend booking this place!

“Comfy and Magical”
When I called to confirm our reservation, Roy asked me, "How would you like the house decorated?" No one has ever asked me that before, so I said that my daughter loves Halloween. He told me they'd put a few Halloween things out. Well, we walked in and were in awe...every nook and cranny had cute pumpkins and Fall garlands and all kinds of fun Halloweeny things - even a ghost and a ghoul in the back yard. And the house is so charming and they have taken great care to think of anything you might need...in the kitchen, or the bathroom - loved the sitting room with the fireplace. It was a delight!!!
