Aqua East has everything you need for surfing and also skateboarding. They also have a nice selection of footwear for a casual beach lifestyle as well as clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreens. I highly recommend their surfing camp, Stoked To Surf, for kids during the spring and summer. They provide all equipment, snacks, and the instructors are great.
The Pit Surf Shop - 18 A Street - St. Augustine Beach - 904-471-4700
The Pit Surf Shop, located in the heart of St. Augustine Beach, has everything you need for a great day at the beach. They have rentals of surfboards, bikes, standup paddleboards, kayaks, chair and umbrella rentals, and even skimboards. They offer surfing lessons and also summer camps for kids.
Surf Station - 1020 Anastasia Blvd., St. Augustine - 904-471-9463
The Surf Station started out in a full-service gas station with pumps out front and a surf shop inside and the employees worked both sides of the business. In 1995, the emphasis was put on surfing and the lifestyle. Their website offers a surf report, HD webcam, surf report, and weather station - all the info that the "local pros" look to for a great day of surfing.
In addition to the Surf Shop, they have a shop next door called "The Girl Next Door" for women and girls.

The Lightner Museum is housed in the former Alcazar Hotel built in 1888 - one of the hotels that Henry Flagler built in St. Augustine to encourage tourism. The hotel offered a casino, a grand ballroom a gymnasium, a bowling alley, archery ranges, tennis courts, and the world's largest indoor swimming pool at that time.
