Depending on which carrier you use, cell coverage can be spotty at Snowflake Chalet. Our Internet Access, Cable TV and landline are provided by Comcast Xfinity, which means they will not work if the power is out, or the cable system is down for any reason. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon to have power outages in the mountains.

Power outages can be triggered by winter and spring rain/snow storms or lightning during the summer and fall. We did recently install a whole house surge protector to protect our appliances and your devices during occasional power surges. We hope you do not have the inconvenience of being without power while staying in our house, but we ask for your patience if this occurs. (You will find flashlights around the house, and candles and batteries in the far right closet in the laundry room.)
