Children at Snowflake Chalet

Snowflake Chalet is ideal for families due to our location across the street from Snowflake Lodge and the Blue Lake Springs Recreation Center, but we do ask for your diligence in supervising your little ones.

Child Safety

While we do pay close attention to safety, we do not have small children and our home is not completely “child proof” – cabinet doors do not lock, cleaning supplies, matches, scissors, etc, are within reach. Please supervise your children carefully, especially around the stairs, fireplace, decks, and near the garage door.

Please note that our garage door does not have an infrared sensor to prevent the door from closing, so please make sure you see your children at all times when closing the garage door.

Toys and Games

We have shared some of the toys once used by our now-adult three sons. You will find these in the bonus room over the garage and the game closet in the living room. We ask that you take care to put pieces back in the rightful box and bin before you leave so the next guest may enjoy them.

We want our young guests to have fune, but we do ask that you not allow your children to play with glow sticks, silly spray, glue or markers inside as all of these have caused damage to our home in the past.

Amenities at Snowflake Lodge Across the Street (when available to rental guests)

The rec center includes a pool, small lake, playground and outdoor amphitheater that occasionally shows family movies at night. During a typical summer, both the pool and lake have a lifeguard on duty, and the rec center also offers activities for children.
