House was great, with bikes especially easy to get to the beach. WiFi was low in the back bedrooms, other than that everything was great. Kitchen and all necessary items were perfect. I’ll visit again for sure!

The house was in a lovely setting, easily accessible to the beach and amenities of Palmetto Dunes. Pros *One of the best AirBnb kitchens we’ve ever stayed in. Loads of spices and oils, etc, plus really nice quality pots and pans and knives. Great layout which made cooking and socialising, or multiple, overlapping, cooks a breeze. *Easy 5 minute bike ride to a near empty beach. Alternatively, 5 minute drive to The Dunes House if you want to drive and park up. *Great pool for a dip, and outside table and loungers for those who’d rather stay dry. *Lovely big rooms, with plenty of space for everyone. Comfy beds, soft towels, etc. Cons *We were surprised to have to pay for our Palmetto Dunes pass on arrival. Mikhail has since sorted us , but I’d recommend discussing beforehand so you know what to expect. *We couldn’t get Roku to work so no TV for the week. Probably a good thing to have a bit of a detox :) We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely recommend the house.

We had a great stay. The house was in a great location, the pool was amazing to have during our stay. It was clean and perfectly warm the whole time. We brought our young children, all under 4 and parerents, we felt very safe with how the doors to the outside had special locks. (We also told them that if they were outside with no grown-ups, the alligators would come out, lol.. there were no alligators 😀) We had everything we needed at the house and needed nothing extra. The living room was also very spacious, as well as each of the other rooms in the house, We did not feel like we were on top of each other at all. The only suggestion would be if you are planning on renting bikes, which I would try an do because it looked fun, try and get a reservation ahead of time. They were all sold out, when we tried each day. Also, if you have a larger party, and want to eat out at a restaurant.. make reservations before you go... many of our dinners for a party of 6, were after 8. Which was fine for us. Last tip that worked for us, as far as the Beach.. go after 3pm. You will have parking and the pick of a spot to sit.

Our family of 5 enjoyed the stay at Mikhail’s place. The home is very spacious in all rooms, nicely updated, and has everything you need to feel at home. It’s very quiet and private. Driveway can easily accommodate multiple cars. Kitchen has all cookware needed for meals, basic spices, essential cleaning supplies, and lots of storage for grocery items. Beds were comfortable and showers were nice. Extra towels and linens were available, and plenty of soap. Washer and dryer are large capacity. WiFi is provided with good speed, and basic cable for TV, but bring your own streaming devices if you need to watch other shows. Beach is a very short drive or bike ride. Parking for beach is available at Dunes House, but get there before 10am, it fills up fast. We enjoyed the deck and pool after our daily outings. Mikhail helped us work through a couple of service issues during our stay, and we appreciate his responsiveness as host. Other tips for the area, our favorites: Shelter Cove marina for pontoon boat rentals, Saltmarsh paddle tours for kayaks, Pirates island for mini golf, Ruan Thai Hut, Fat Baby, and Giuseppe’s for restaurants.

Mikhail's house was a great base for our family vacation to HHI, including celebrating the birthday of a 2 yr-old. The home is spacious and comfortable, location is quiet but accessible, and the pool & deck are just right for cooling down after a day of golf or at the beach.

My family's stay here was just ok. The Pros: outside deck/pool area is nice and very private for Hilton Head. The location is good - the street/neighborhood is quiet and a nice place for biking or walking with kids. The owner had good communication and responded rapidly before our stay (though after we arrived, his response time slowed considerably to a day or more between messages). The Cons: the beds are very hard, crunchy/noisy, and uncomfortable and honestly, two of them are too small for the bedroom sizes (all are queens and the rooms could easily sustain a king). My teenage children likened them to beds in less-than-stellar hotels we've used in Europe. The showers are also not great. There is very little water pressure - particularly if any water is running anywhere else in the entire house, or even the sprinklers outside. If you're doing laundry there will be no hot water in the shower, either. We were given one washcloth and two towels per person, so plan to do laundry daily - just not while anyone in your party is showering. There is no streaming service for the televisions and only basic local cable channels are available. I understand that people don't visit HHI to watch tv, but sometimes there are occasions when alternative entertainment is necessary or needed. At the very least having newer televisions which might allow guests to sign in to their own streaming accounts would be helpful. The wifi is quite slow does not really work outside or in the two guest bedrooms, so plan accordingly if you need to dial in to work remotely. There were many, many lightbulbs which were out and the dining room is almost unusable after dark (this is due not to missing bulbs but an extremely dim fixture above the table). The ventilation and light in the master bathroom is nonfunctional. There are no plastic cups in the kitchen other than wine glasses for use by the pool and no measuring cups for dry goods. A more secure garbage area is needed as we had raccoons get into the outdoor trash cans nightly leaving us a mess to clean up each day. We also had a bit of a surprise when asked to pay a fee for our pass to Palmetto Dunes (we've stayed in Sea Pines in the past and this fee was covered in the rental). The pool is also quite small and not very deep - maybe 5 feet at the deepest end. Our trip was last-minute for Memorial Day week and there were few other accommodations available, but I would choose to stay elsewhere in the future unless the owner invests a bit more into the maintenance and comfort of the property.

Response:Dear Marian Thank you for your review. We will address points of your concern. Unfortunately nothing we can do about water pressure. Capacity of water heater is enough for showers but not for the laundry at the same time. We recommend do laundry after everyone took shower. Regards Michael

Spacious, airy, well-appointed house and pool in a great location just a few minutes from Hilton Head many amenities. Well-equipped kitchen, comfy living room and good sized bedrooms. Perfect base for our family (2 adults, 3 kids - 14 and under). Mikhail was a communicative and gracious host. Would highly recommend!

Mikhail was an excellent host. He was responsive to all of our questions and needs. the place is excellent, with plenty of space and all of the amenities for a cozy and comfortable stay. we particularly loved the outdoor space, which includes a spacious pool deck and heated pool and a spectacular lagoon view. the location is perfect- situated close to Trent Jones, Fazio and Arthur Hills courses, as well as the Palmetto Dunes tennis and pickle ball facility - not to mention a short bike ride away from the beach. it was a short drive from shelter cove mall- which was convenient for eating out and shopping.
