Have you always wanted to experience a real New Zealand farm? Have you dreamed of actually staying on a farm, waking in the morning and walking down to hand feed sheep and cows? Are you interested in staying in eco-friendly accommodation that runs totally on solar power? Come and stay with us and experience all of this and much much more.

We have two rooms available here at Blue Spur Farmstay. Our large family room sleeps up to 5 and is perfect for families and groups of friends. It is an extremely spacious room with one queen bed and 3 singles, a sitting area and incredible views of the native bush and mountains.

Our second room, Stay On A Farm, sleeps 2 and is a very stylish and spacious room. Stunning views over our organic vegetable garden, native bush, mountains and out to the Tasman Sea.

Breakfast is served in your room. We provide homemade baking, fresh fruit, plunger coffee, milk and a choice of teas. We also make our own muesli! A great way to start the day. Produce such as homemade jam, honey from our bees are available for purchace.

We are an eco-friendly farm.

We generate all our own electricity from solar panels - we are completely off the grid. We collect and store all our own rain water. It is safe to drink - no nasty chemicals added. We grow many of our own fruit and vegetables and are happy to share them with you. We also grow our own organic meat here. We use eco-friendly products as much as possible, we love to use Eco Store, NZ products. We recycle and compost all waste.

The bathroom

There are many different animals to see and feed here. We have goats, sheep, cows, kune kune pigs, rabbits, peacocks, turkeys, chickens and ducks. Some will let you feed and pat them, others are more shy but you can see them all. We also have our own beehives that provide honey for the farm. You are able to purchase jars from us if you want to take some away with you!

The friendly peacocks will eat from your hand.

Welcome! The camp site is a private spot away from it all but only 10mins to the town. Families absolutely love staying on our eco-farm among the many farm animals. Friendly free ranging kune kune pigs, goats and a flock of coloured sheep as well as our cows, peacocks and turkeys.
