Response:Hi Steve, we are so glad you had such a wonderful stay, and we hope to see you again in the future! Sadly, we missed the deadline to respond to the previous guest Aya, and we'd like to clarify the following for future guests in response to their review:
- The home HVAC, plumbing, and electrical have all been upgraded and are brand new as of 2022. We are happy to report that there have not been any electrical or heat issues since.
- All new windows were installed throughout the home in 2022. The property has three 120-gallon propane tanks and supplemental space heaters are also provided if needed. We offer air conditioning from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
We always work with both guests and homeowners when issues arise and apologize that we were unable to come to the resolution you were hoping for based on the documentation provided. We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!

Our family loves to come to Vermont and look forward to our outdoor adventures with our children. We hope your stay here brings you many happy memories from one of our favorite places.
Nestled in Vermont's Green Mountains, Rutland rests in a wide valley between two mountain ranges, in a natural north-south passage. To the east three large peaks in the Green Mountain range- Killington, Pico and Shrewsbury flank Rutland. To the west of Rutland are the Taconics.
Take advantage of our nearby mountains and lakes and join the thousands or tourists who visit our region to ski, hike, swim and enjoy the autumn foliage. As Vermont's second largest city, rich in natural beauty, melded with a healthy economy and a wonderful history, Rutland is hailed as an eclectic mix of the old and new.

31 East in Rutland is an amazing property. I've had the opportunity to stay in many AirBnbs and this one is the best so far. It feels like it has been recently renovated and the owners really wanted to provide a great experience. The kitchen is well appointed and fully functional. Each bedroom and the living room all have large screen TVs. The bathrooms have all been redone. The house is also quite spacious. We had 5 guests and never felt in the least bit cramped and had a bedroom to spare.
The location in town is also key. We're two blocks from the intersection of route 7 and 4 with a Grand Union supermarket a couple of blocks away. There are also fast food options very nearby including Starbucks and Chipotle.
I'd imagine the price changes as Rutland enters full ski season. We stayed for Thanksgiving and found the price to be a great value.

Wonder house with everything you need to feel at home. We have stayed at many places over the years and this house was wonderfully equipped. It was super clean, new and comfortable.

We had a group of 4 women staying which worked out perfectly with the 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. You could easily fit more people in the house as well as there is a lot of room and open spaces for hanging out. The house was spacious, clean and had all the needed amenities. The host was very responsive to any questions that we had. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area.

Awesome spot. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
Only gave a lower review because for the high cleaning fee, we were surprised at the amount of minor bugs, several ant species, annoying gnats, but really not bad and nothing any house gets. Saw some traps in place so it was a known issue. It’s an easy fix.
Also it’s a company who wants you to communicate with a local off airbnb platform. Not my favorite way to do this.
That all said - the place was spot on. As described. We walked to some restaurants if you don’t mind a 10-15 minute walk. Really liked the location. Amenities were plentiful and they really have a nice kitchen that we cooked a few meals in easily. Thank you for that and also great parking.
This was a work trip and really met our needs. We would stay again and highly recommend to others. Likely would have been a 5 star review otherwise.

Very well appointed home. The house was obviously recently renovated. Everything looked brand new. Our family of seven booked this house for our ski trip to Killington, which is approximately 30 minutes away. Staying at this house worked out perfectly for our group. I would definitely stay there again.

We had some inconveniences during our stay which included no heat, hot water, or electricity for a good amount of time. It was also during one of the coldest fronts to hit Vermont in decades. The owner of the property was gracious and responsive but the host (Evolve) did not meet our expectations in compensation (only 20% refund for one of the nights) and after trying to reach an understanding, "the case was resolved". This seemed to us to be unfair and improperly communicated. We also had two newborns with us who slept in their car seats with heavy blankets during the night. Location wise is great- you're in the middle of the city and only 20 minutes away from Killington.
