This wooden terraced apartment (built in 1975) can comfortably accommodate 2-4 people, max. 6 people. The full-height loft has a double bed and 2 separate beds, and there is also a sofa bed in the living room and kitchen. The apartment has a well-equipped kitchen, so you can prepare your own meals and make coffee or cocoa and even take a thermos with you for day trips. Tunturikuksa's sauna and bathroom were completely renovated in November 2024 (photos will be updated later). The bathroom has a washing machine and a drying cabinet. The apartment has a separate toilet.
The outdoor storage room has a ski waxing bench for skiing enthusiasts, and sledges and snowshoes for outdoor enthusiasts. The storage room also has firewood for the fireplace. For entertainment, the apartment has DVD movies, games, books.
The property is suitable for families with children: there is a baby gate at the top of the stairs and the apartment has a high chair, travel cot and potty. The travel cot linen + bed linen are provided upon request. Possibility to rent a child car seat and booster seat for the car, strollers, etc.
The electric car charging point is at Neste Saariselkä, approx. 300 meters away. The sockets on the wall of the apartment cannot be used for charging. Services and activities near Tunturikuksa: K-Market Saariselkä Kuukkeli approx. 5 min walk away, ski slope runs right in front of Tunturikuksa, ski resort is located 2 km away, Ski bus leaves from in front of Holiday-Club, Finland's longest sledding hill, Saariselkä sledding hill approx. 10 min walk away, bowling alley 2 min walk away, restaurants and other services in the center of Saariselkä within walking distance.

Why do I need to supply my credit card details again?
The payment of the reservation and the payment of the extra costs on the spot are two separate transactions. It is comparable to paying for a hotel booking in advance and then paying for the extra costs of the mini-bar on the spot by credit card.

For bookings within 14 days prior to arrival only credit cards are accepted.
A down payment of 20% of the total rental cost of the reserved rental property is payable within 5 days of the booking date. The remaining balance must be paid to Interhome no later than 28 days before the start of the rental period. If you book your holiday house or apartment less then 43 days prior to your arrival date, you will have to pay the total rental cost immediately.
The deposit can be paid by credit card or cash (as mentioned on your booking confirmation). It is necessary to pay the deposit otherwise you will not receive your key. Please note that at some locations the only option is cash payment.
What happens to my breakage deposit?
The deposit is a security retainer and will be refunded upon proper return of the rental property. The deposit will either be refunded to your bank account or received directly from the keyholder if you paid in cash. For a refund of the deposit to your bank account, always leave your IBAN- and BIC-code with the keyholder.
If you withdraw from the contract, we will invoice you the following cancellation charges:
A) up to 43 days before the start of the rental period: 10% of the rental
B) 42 to 29 days before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental
C) 28 to 2 days before the start of the rental period: 80% of the rental
D) 1 day before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental
Yes, it is possible to change your booking, as long as the desired holiday house/period is still available. There may be a fee to change your booking.
