Nestled just steps from the soft, golden sands of the meandering Outer Banks beaches, this charming beach cottage offers the perfect coastal retreat. With four inviting bedrooms and two full baths, it comfortably accommodates families seeking a relaxing getaway. The fully-stocked kitchen is ideal for preparing home-cooked meals, while the open dining/living room provides a great space for family gatherings. Unwind on the deck after a day of sunbathing, fishing or exploring, and enjoy the salty, ocean breeze while watching the sun sink down slowly over the Sound. The deck is also perfect for watching the beach come to life in the morning with the soft pinks and oranges of the sunrise over the ocean.

The cottage is located on a lovely, quiet street that dead-ends at the beach. It's located in South Nags Head, just past Milepost 20. Our location is the best of both worlds with restaurants, shops, grocery stores, golf courses, state parks, fishing piers and other local attractions only a 10-15 minute drive from the house, while having the peaceful coastal sanctuary for shorebirds, sea turtles, dolphins and more, just steps from the front door. You'll love the serenity of slow-paced beach living!

Don't forget about the magical atmosphere of the Outer Banks at night! You will be mesmerized by the dazzling canopy of stars overhead, unimpeded by city lights. For some added fun, take a flashlight down to the beach at night to watch the ghost crabs scuttle across the sand as they search for food under the cover of night.

*There is typically a lifeguard stand on the beach at the end of our street during summer months.

The beach is just steps away, so no need to drive there. We have parking for up to 4 cars in the driveway, while additional vehicles can park on the street on the side of our property (on Sandy Court).

Love! Love! Love!
We were absolutely in love with the house and its location. The description listed is spot on. We will definitely look into getting this house again if we can pull the family together for another trip to NC. Sitting on the deck at night, listening to the waves was one of my favorite things. It was all around a great experience.

ONE LEVEL BEACH COTTAGE
Very convenient access to beach, life guards on this section, kitchen well stocked, lot's of games for kids & family. Furniture in living area comfortable. King bed very comfortable, bunk beds are for children (I am 5'8" & could not sleep in them) and the bunk beds are in a separate part of the house next to the kitchen. Child would wake up if we needed something in the kitchen. Hose & shower outside were big helps controlling the amount of sand in the house. Huge washer & dryer, several beach chairs & boogie boards all under the house. If you need groceries plan on a good 20-30 minute ride due to traffic/flood area. Be sure to get reservations for dinner, if restaurant accepts them. Most do not and many do not have online ordering. We loved the area & the house. It was very comfortable for 4 adults & 1 child.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We really appreciated the extra toiletries and kitchen supplies. We had a little extra of everything which was much appreciated.I would recommend staying here. It was also close to Manteo and and some other nice locations with good food and coffee options.

Great location with just a couple houses to the beach. Lifeguard was on duty from10 to 5. Semi-private beach with just a few other families there. 😃 The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The living room was stocked with books, DVDs, and children’s games. They also had everything you need for a fun day at the beach- Chairs, umbrella, cooler, and sand toys. I appreciated having sheets provided, that was one less thing to worry about! The bike path is just a few feet from the front door. We brought our bikes but found it was way too humid, even in the morning to use them. (Living in the northeast we are not used to that kind of humidity.) Overall a perfect vacation for our family. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Our place is great for small children since our home is only one level. There are 3 steps down into our bunkbed room, but the bedroom door can be closed to prevent children from tumbling down the 3 steps. We have a little whale step that lives in the bunkbed room which can be used in the bathroom to help little ones reach the sink or potty.

Damage Deposit Policy
As a security deposit alternative, houfyProtect, an upfront nonrefundable low cost property damage protection policy for just $5 per night, is taken at time of booking.
Cancellation Policy
Due to the nature of the vacation rental business, we cannot accept cancellations occurring closer than 30 days to the date of reservation. You will forfeit all sums paid unless we are able to re-rent the property, in which case we will refund the amount equal to any subsequent rental less a $100 handling fee. If traveler cancels between 30-59 days prior to reservation date, a 50% refund will be given, minus a $50 processing fee. If we are able to re-rent the property, a refund in the amount equal to the subsequent rental will be given, less a $100 handling fee. If traveler cancels 60 days or more, prior to reservation date, a full refund will be given.
