The Whimsical Cottage Sister Lakes Michigan - Benton Harbor

Come enjoy Summer in this Whimsical, multi-themed dog friendly 5bd/2ba lakefront cottage located on the west side of beautiful Round Lake, a 194 acre all sport clean freshwater lake in the heart of Sister Lakes, Michigan.

The Whimsical Cottage rental includes a turnkey 28 Pontoon Boat docked at your private pier ready when you arrive. The SS Stella seats 12 comfortably. Cruise on over to the Driftwood Ice Cream shop, Dockside Dans Bar and Grill or the famous Sandbar in the middle of the lake, where you can drop anchor to relax and party.

Inside, The Whimsical Cottage sleeps 12 guests with two master bedrooms, one on the main floor and one on the second floor. There are three additional upstairs bedrooms with one full/twin bunk bed, a triple bunk bed and two twin beds. There is a portable crib and pack n play, high chairs, and baby toys available on request.

The main floor is open concept with brand new appliances, a fully stocked kitchen, Keurig Coffee Bar and double dining/game tables that seat 12. Rainy day board games are in the pine bench. The living room has a 55 smart tv and opens to the 12 x 25 deck that boasts beautiful sunrise Round Lake views.

Just steps beyond the spacious front deck you will find your private lawn and clean sandy beach. Enjoy the log swing, lifeguard chairs or play a game of Cornhole bean bags. The shallow beachfront is perfect for kids and adults alike. Build sandcastles, catch minnows or just lounge with your toes in the sand.

Splash around the pier or paddle out to the swim platform with 2 pedal boats, 4 kayaks, float toys and life jackets. Or cast a line off the dock for the best bass fishing around (catch and release please)!

After a day of water fun, barbeque on the gas grill and roast marshmallows and relax around the large natural fire pit with complimentary firewood.

Then grab a cool drink, head down the pier and hop on the custom 24 lighted Tiki Party Barge anchored at the end of the pier-Unique to the Whimsical Cottage on Round Lake for great night time views and memories.

There are 2 locked maintenance closets and an outdoor shed that are off limits to guests.

Sister Lakes is comprised of many types of homes both permanent and seasonal rentals. Please stay only on the Whimsical Cottage property. Be mindful and considerate of our neighbors.

There is no public transportation in the Sister Lakes area. You will need a car to get around.

Whimsical Cottage is a waterfront lake home on beautiful Round Lake in Sister Lakes, Michigan. The Sister Lakes area is home to many wonderful creatures, such as Mallard Ducks, Canadian Geese, Barn Owls and even Bald Eagles. The Whimsical Cottage sits near a Wildlife Santuary area thats also home to Great Blue Herons.

In Round Lake youll find Large and Smallmouth Bass, Crappie, Bluegill and even a few Muskie and Snapping Turtles.

With all this beauty, its not uncommon to also see a bug or two around. Mosquitos are common at night. We recommend bringing Off Spray. Occasionally we may get a Spider, Stinkbug or Ladybug indoors too. All are harmless of course and are just enjoying Sister Lakes too!
