At The Schoolhouse Cottage you will savor calm, relaxation, and solitude within the walls of a beautifully restored two-room schoolhouse built in 1848. This home is not your typical mountain vacation cabin, it is a piece of history that is thoughtfully attended to by the owner between every guest stay. When you walk through the living room and master bedroom you are walking on floors that school children walked on 170 years ago. The photos hanging throughout the cottage are historic images of Dahlonega and North Georgia from an archived collection that you'd be lucky to see anywhere else. What's more, the modern amenities and attention to detail allow you to appreciate the history that surrounds you while still enjoying the comforts of the 21st century. Only ten minutes from the Dahlonega Square, yet tucked away in its own little forest, the Schoolhouse is a unique private retreat that still keeps you close to everything.

Finally, please read the full description of the cottage, the amenities, and the house rules prior to booking. And if you plan to bring your pup along for your stay you must make a note of him/her as part of your booking party and follow the pet policy in order to be refunded your pet deposit.
