We are a large family with 4 children and our Vizsla who loves to travel. We've been visiting Corolla since we were children ourselves and now that we own a piece of the OBX we want to be able to share it with you. Our other home away from home is at the southern tip of New Jersey in a little town called Diamond Beach (Wildwood Crest). Some of our favorite childhood memories were made there. Diamond Beach is very family friendly with some of the largest Jersey shore beaches, while also being so close to Cape May and only 3 miles to the boardwalk.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful vacation home in Corolla. The house was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with a cozy coastal vibe. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach, where we spent our days soaking up the sun and enjoying the ocean. The pool was also a great alternative to cool off and end our day.
The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals for our family. The bedrooms were comfortable, and each bedroom having access to their own bathroom was such a bonus!
The house is conveniently located near several charming towns, great restaurants, and historical sites. We also enjoyed visiting the local lighthouse and shops.
The owner was incredibly responsive and provided great recommendations for local activities and dining in an expansive guide prior to our stay.
We felt right at home and appreciated all the thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special.
Overall, this vacation home was the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. We can’t wait to return!

“Golf Trip”
The Sanctuary at OBX is the perfect vacation home. Went down for a golf trip with 8 guys, other than for golf we barely left the house. It has everything you could want right on the property. We especially loved the pool and outdoor bar! Great location close to plenty of bars, restaurants and a just a short walk to the beach. Kristen, the owner, was extremely helpful and accommodating and provided a ton of great recommendations for activities and food nearby. 100% recommend this home for your OBX vacation!

“Vacay Review”
My family of four stayed at the Sanctuary with our closest friends (another family of 4) during the very last week of summer. We’re from NY and wanted a chance to relax with the kids near the beach before school started back up.
This property was all we could have hoped for in a vacation home. The house was huge with way more space and amenities for our two families. The adults were able to find spots away from the kids to relax and the kids had so many options for fun on the property. But there were plenty of communal opportunities for games, meals, swimming, porch swinging.
The house is just a few blocks from the beach which made trips to the shore fun, loose and non-committal. There was no need to load up everything for a full beach day because home was so closely for snacking and breaks from sand and waves.
The outdoor pool area with tiki bar, hot tub and outdoor shower were where we spent most of our time as our kids wanted to be in the water day and night. The 2nd floor porch allowed the adults a space to monitor their activity while getting some distance from it all for some grown up conversation and hang time.
We ventured out for some wild horse tours, sunsets and bbq but mostly we stayed on the property to make the most of it.
Couldn’t be happier with our accommodations and the level of cleanliness, well-kept spaces, and assistance from the best, most helpful host. So many memories made in just one week. We’ll be back!

“The Best Time!”
We had the best time on our trip to OBX this year and enjoyed staying at The Sanctuary so much that we booked it for next year already! The house is amazing and very appropriately named. Close enough to walk to the beach and get to the supermarket, but secluded and very private. The house is clean and well equipped with all the essentials. We enjoyed playing games and puzzles and loved the big kitchen table. We also LOVED the pool area and cabana. It was a perfect trip! Kristen (the owner) was a pleasure to deal with and was always available if we had a question. Looking forward to our next visit in 2024!!

We’ve been coming to Corolla for over 20 years and The Sanctuary is one the best houses we’ve stayed at. The owner, Kristen, is great to work with. Quick to answer questions and made the rental process stress free. The house is beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable! (And the remodeled bathrooms 😍) The walk to the beach is easy. The welcome bag and complimentary bagels were appreciated! We hope to visit The Sanctuary again!

We had a wonderful week of R&R. Plenty of room for our large family. Well stocked kitchen and great seating for family meals and games. Short walk to the beach but we did park at the public lot around the corner most days as it was easier with our gear. Great water pressure in showers!
The host also provided some nice surprises that made our trip a little sweeter (dozen bagels, welcome gift with necessities, and passes for parking on the local beach).
She was also VERY organized, kind and communicated all of our needs prior, during and after our stay.
Highly Recommend without reservation!

Amazing week at the Sanctuary in Corolla OBX this past week. Saw the wild mustangs on the 4x4 beach, climbed to the top of the lighthouse, plenty of skim boarding and frisbee. Much needed time to relax and soak up some rays. ☀️🐴🌊🏄♂️🏖️

“Awesome time for a Guys Golfing Trip ”
We absolutely loved this house! Went on a golf trip with 8 guys, everyone had their own bed and the house was very spacious. Bathrooms were just re done and are amazing. So much to do right at the house between the pool and tiki bar, pool table in the basement, and all the games up on the 3rd floor. Kristen was extremely helpful every step of the way and gave a ton of recommendations which made the trip 100% stress free. And the location of the house was great, quick walk to the beach and about a mile from several restaurants, grocery stores and attractions. We will definitely be back to The Sanctuary at OBX!

Our family had a wonderful time at The Sanctuary! A few of my favorite things about our stay.
-The kitchen was the most well stocked we have seen in our years of renting in OBX. I also love the spacious dining areas as well because they offer so much seating.
-They offer amazing beach gear to save from needing to pack extra items.
-My husband enjoyed the jacuzzi tub (I’m sure I would have too, but I didn’t get a chance to try it out) and it was perfect for just hopping in the bath with our little ones for quick cleaning after the beach or pool without needing to lean over the tub. And it has two!
-The location was perfect! Not too far of a walk to the beach and privacy from neighbors because of the trees. That’s something you don’t always get staying in obx.
-The pool and hot tub were amazing. The pool temp also remained perfect, which was a plus for our little ones.
-There is a cute little swing ♥️
-Kristen was amazing to work with and answered all of our questions and offered great suggestions. We normally stay on Hatteras so I wasn’t familiar with this area and her suggestions made it so much easier. (Lighthouse Bagels and maple bacon donut from Duck Donut 🤤)

We had a great family vacation at The Sanctuary! We were very comfortable in the house, great for all of us to gather and spend time together but also many spaces to separate out and relax. Enjoyed the pool, hot tub, ping pong, etc. and walkable beach access. Would recommend!
