Words cannot describe how impressed we were with Laughing Moose. The minute I walked in the front door I felt I could live here for ever.
The incredible views, the spacious kitchen the stylish little pieces of decor make this place comfortable, relaxing and luxury. Janice pays attention to every little detail to ensure we had a fabulous time! From the selection of quality glasses, crockery and cooking utensils to the games and puzzles ( we completed a full jig saw puzzle between us) we had everything we could possibly need and much more. Even a thoughtful and delicious blueberry pie to welcome us !!
We were visiting from Australia and planned this weekend with our two sons and families for a getaway together. It couldn’t have been more perfect and we made such fabulous memories. So much space for all 8 of us plus the 2 dogs!
I can’t thank you enough for this special visit! And Janice don’t forget I want you to live with us in Australia to style our hone!

What a wonderful place and Janice is a fantastic host. the house had amazing views and everything you would need for a relaxing stay, but plenty to entertain us and the kids with games, darts, hot tubs etc. some lovely extra touches with a beautiful pie and bubbles left for us on arrival. Location was fantastic to explore Algonquin, as well as some cool little towns to explore. Highly recommend.

This was our second time staying here and it was just as great as the first. There was room for everyone to relax and do their own thing, the sauna and hot tub were great, and we loved the canoe and kayaks!

Unfortunately due to a medical problem I was not able to visit 'The Laughing Moose' had to wait until the group retuned to get their feedback. 'Wow' was their first reaction, comment were "this is the best Airbnb we have stayed at", "Janice and Simon are the friendliest and most accommodation people we have met".
They said the place was spotless and had everything they needed for a great stay.
Looks like I really missed out on a great place, will have to plan another visit.
Our group highly recommends this Airbnb.

We had a great summer week at Janice's place. Lots of room for people to spread out. Everything as described. Well equipped kitchen. As disclosed, ATV trail runs between house and lake, but ATVs never really a bother. Lake is very shallow at the shore to roughly 20 metres out, so great for small kids.

Our family had a great stay at Janice's place. The cottage was very spacious and the hot tub and sauna were very fun. The ice bath was a neat bonus and competitions were had to see who could stay in the longest. Janice had great communication and did her best to help us with whatever we needed. I recommend walking along the trail to the smokehouse for dinner and to the nearby Kawartha dairy ice cream stand for dessert. I highly recommend Janice's place to others!

This was our second time at the lodge and we had the best time. it was too hot for us to build a fire the last time we went but thankfully this time, it was cold enough to and it felt so cozy. This place feels like our second home. Janice is so thoughtful, responsive, flexible and friendly. She goes above and beyond to ensure her guests have everything they need. The cottage is immaculate and well-stocked with thoughtful touches throughout. Every detail has been carefully considered, making our stay here nothing short of awesome. It's a peaceful retreat we appreciate so much.

The Lodge is well set up and makes it easy to feel at home with a great kitchen with all the basics, lots of seating and hang out areas, and very comfortable beds. The view is stunning and we loved being out on Lake St Peter swimming and in the supplied kayaks and canoe. When the weather turned grey and chilly the hot tub was a welcome feature. Janice is a lovely host and is communicative but not intrusive (we barely saw each other). Would stay again, highly recommend.

Janice was extremely gracious and welcoming as a host, she was very responsive, and answered any questions that we had.
The place was beautiful and pristine, we had plenty of space indoors and outdoors to hang out and rest. It was clear that a lot of care and detail was put into making this place a home for guests. We especially enjoyed the sauna and the darts!
Overall, we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and will definitely be coming back soon!

Our stay at The Laughing Moose was wonderful. The property was tidy and clean. One of the highlights for us was the stunning view of the lake from the master bedroom.
The kitchen was well-stocked with seasonings, utensils, and useful items like plastic wrap, parchment paper, and appliances. We appreciated the thoughtfulness in providing these extras.
The decor and layout of the place were charming and well-designed. As someone who is always concerned about having enough blankets and towels, I was pleased to find that there were plenty of both. I forgot my shower cap and was thankful they had one there.
Janice, was very thoughtful and very quick to respond. She provided helpful information on what to bring and kept us informed about potential traffic issues around the area so we can plan our day accordingly.
Overall, our experience at The Laughing Moose was excellent, and we would come back in a heartbeat.
