Breakage or Damage Life happens and things break or get damaged. We understand that. Please let us know if you do break or accidentally damage something. Unless it’s egregious, it’s a cost of our doing business. We have no desire to charge people for incidental damage. But communicating with us and letting us know is awesome and helps us to be ready for the next guest checking in. Courtesy to the Cleaning Person Unlike many hosts we do not ask you to strip the beds or start a load of wash or anything like that. However, we do ask that you be considerate of the person cleaning after you check out. We pay our cleaning person well but leaving our property in decent shape helps her to get done quicker and back to her family quicker. Use your own judgement as to what this means and remember it’s cool to be kind. Makeup Please use the complimentary makeup removal pads or some other method other than using a washcloth or towel. Pretty please? Noise You share the courtyard with a long-term resident. If you would kindly keep this in mind when you walk to and from your home so as not to disturb these people with loud-ish talking or noise from devices. Trash and Recycling We are big advocates of minimizing our negative environmental impact when possible and we consider recycling to be part of that effort. Please find the laminated document, in drawer next to refrigerator, explaining what can & cannot be recycled in our community. For longer term Guests, the trash and recycling cans are at the back of the property by the carport. The green bin is for regular BAGGED trash. The blue bin is for UNBAGGED recyclables. NOT following the City rules can contaminate several homes worth of recyclables and really undermine the program. PLEASE call or text if you have questions. *****IMPORTANT - do not use charcoal or wood in either the BBQ or the fire pit, DOING SO CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS. These are propane gas only. Contact me with questions or for help.***** Pets -We offer free use of a couple dog kennels, a spare leash (all in the second closet) and two doggie bowls (under kitchen sink). PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE be kind and clean the kennels and the bowls when you leave so that the cleaning crew doesn't have to. -PLEASE KEEP PETS OFF ALL FURNITURE AND LINENS INCLUDING SOFAS, SIDE CHAIRS, BENCHES, BEDS, BEDDING, BATH TOWELS, ETC... Use our kennels or even ask me and I might be able to run out and buy you whatever you need. But be considerate of others and abide by our house rules. - WE ASK THAT PETS NOT BE ALLOWED TO PEE OR POOP ON THE SYNTHETIC GRASS, EVEN IF YOU INTEND TO CLEAN IT UP. THE GRASS IS PLASTIC AND BECOMES UNSANITARY IF ANIMALS POTTY ON IT. If you want real grass the surrounding neighborhood is very pet friendly. - Dogs can relieve themselves at the back of the courtyard on the gravel (there is a white bucket with plastic bags in it to clean up any poop), in the front yard (outside the courtyard gates) or in the very dog friendly neighborhood. - PLEASE bag and tie poop bags and deposit in the green city garbage can at the back of the courtyard. Bagging and tying ensures we don't get bugs! :-/ If you haven't done so already please let me know if you are bringing a pet and that you have read these rules and that you're cool with them. Finally (test question :-) there is a white temperature sensor on the dresser in each bedroom. These sensors communicate with the main thermostat to keep the home super comfortable.
